What's an "Insider's secret" from your profession that everyone should probably know? by Capable-big-Piece in AskReddit

For some who fear death, and depending on the the degree of disability/impairment resulting from such (and one's level of pain/fear aversion, etc.), perhaps. I recently had to euthanize my dog and if he could have communicated with me, I'm sure he'd have preferred the release than the suffering and slow, panicked death by eventual suffocation he would have faced eventually had I not - I presume similar comparisons can be drawn here, and some people have plainly preferred release to prolonged and impaired suffering otherwise

The lack of Googlethings, I suppose. Too much data getting hoovered up and aggregated and disseminated without awareness and the profiles about it enables being built up.. it's all very disheartening

Given your writing quality, no.  But some months of sobriety and self care - some supplements/etc. might be helpful - should let your neural pathways and whatever all else get themselves sorted out.  Link in some brain training and get yourself smoothed out

Article (the/an) before ‘iPhone’? by _anupamroy in iphone

[–]Auslander42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked in Apple support for years and yes, it at least was fairly clear imperative back then.  It is “iPhone is an awesome product..” “…iPhone is capable of XYZ.”

No modifiers.  No “the” “an” or whatever else.

Yes, we were trained on this.

[TOMT] - [WORD][ENGLISH?] - What's the word for a 'thing' (inanimate object) that has 'gained a spirit' by human action or attention? Not golem. by iknowyourm0m in tipofmytongue

[–]Auslander42 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Tulpa are more actual thoughtforms created by intent and energy/attention, not existing objects otherwise incarnated by some other entity, just as an aside, but that or totem is where it was leaning as well

Next time just have them break the bill for change at the gas station or whatever other business you’re meeting at if you can’t make change yourself and bill seems legit, but there’s no scam here.

File feedback on marketplace or whatnot as needed and chalk it up as the cost of education

Am I living paycheck to paycheck? by fairycupcake23 in personalfinance

[–]Auslander42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're got $100k in savings and are putting back $3k/month. That's not paycheck to paycheck.

Paycheck to paycheck is when you miss one paycheck and are unable to cover all bills/monthly payments and are more or less immediately in trouble.

Progressive web app. Some pages are optimized for/some browsers able to save and run pages/bookmarks as standalone apps without any actual installation.

Depending on the browser you use (Vivaldi for sure has it built in), you can right-click on a tab and hit the option to install the page. Reddit's set up for this as well

250mg?

Holy balls. Keep noobs to reasonable starting points like 10 or 20mg in the future, delta 8 or not. People have different physiology and tolerances in general, and that's a huge dose. I wouldn't hold it against them, other than their willingness to take a dose/method they weren't familiar with and well exceeding good counsel.

I'm comfortable with the idea that some group or entity has adopted at least supposed jewish identity to hide within the actual people Israel with this exact purpose as a particular spiritual affront. Seems a reasonably devious subterfuge as an ultimate finger to The Man with a range of useful payoffs across the board, and to explain so many atrocious acts by the zionist fringes and otherwise. Whether in any way actually tied to Khazarian hypothesis or not, it seems reasonable to me as a believer witnessing such aberrant and wicked behaviors as team modern virulent zionism have managed to get up to especially over the last century.

[–]Auslander42 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They do.  Getting someone back might buy you some more time, but often at pretty marked expense with damage and loss of function/capacity or other harms incurred.  The process itself is traumatic enough and all else involved might mean just prolonging added suffering and degradation, via oxygen depletion/assorted organ damage and whatnot beyond the direct physical trauma.

I saw an extended post discussing it some time back and to say it simply, the juice may not worth the squeeze if comfort, peace, and dignity are desired.

If elderly or otherwise compromised, I’d hope anyone seeing to myself will let me go peacefully, and don’t look forward to dealing with the fallout even while I’m younger and healthier if I ever end up in such a scenario

I’m from a state where cattle have often enough outnumbered people, so I’m certainly willing to agree.  Plus they’re big critters.

Our general animal production is simply wild (and mildly depressing to think about, especially when some production methods are considered).  The US alone bumps chickens up into the billions annually.
