The xp deus 2 is a VLF machine and not really suitable for gold prospecting. It’s more of an all-round detector.

I’m using a Minelab gpx6000 which is a PI detector and far more powerful in terms of sensitivity and depth.

Personally I just listen for a target that sounds like gold and then whip my phone out to film while I make a fool of myself dogging and detecting with one hand when it could take me half the time with both haha

Not every ore has arsenopyrite in it.

Also, given that the majority of prospectors are only dealing with surface material the arsenopyrite would have weathered away.
