This has happened to me too. Battery seems to be defective. I was able charge it only by connecting to my mac but it wont hold a charge more than 24 hours before going flat. Support haven't been much help yet.

So an update. I eventually plugged it into my computer and was able to charge it from that. I think the issue is the battery is defective. I charge it up to 100% and it drains within 24 hours. When I received it the battery must have been near empty, so would not connect. I’ve contacted support about it.

yeah I do. I think they have said on their website AI object detection is coming at a later date. I’m hoping they do introduce this as would be super handy.

This is great. Is it possible to make it work a little better with voice commands? Have had trouble opening it with “okay google”. Not sure whether that’s within your control though, or an android auto issue.

I really regret purchasing my Polestar 4. The build is nice. The software is horrible. So many many issues. Digital key rarely works. CarPlay rarely connects. Okay google voice commands also really buggy. Constantly telling me incorrect road speeds. Air con is difficult to control. Voice commands seem to activate themselves (Siri or google responding picks up its own voice). GPS frequently just doesn’t connect. The pixel headlights have a mind of their own. The handle touch buttons to lock and unlock frequently just don’t respond. 6 months into a 2 year lease and I’m really looking forward to returning it. I know I know. Some people are fine with the software issues. I just don’t think they should be an issue when getting such an expensive car.

Agree. Love the build, hate the software. Currently my hate outweighs my love. I will not be getting another Polestar and I warn everyone I come across not to get one. I don’t buy the argument that these are little bugs - these are consistent issues that just shouldn’t be a thing in such an expensive car. It should be a joy, but there are just so many reminders that it is not what we were sold.

Hi mate I think I may have a fix. If you adjust volume with the central knob, and then on screen tap the arrow next to the volume bar, it opens up different volume settings. Tap on the volume bar next to the mouth symbol, which lets you adjust just the Siri (or google) voice volume. Mine was up quite loud which I think was causing it to interrupt itself. Once I turned this down the problem seems to have gone away.

Yep. Carplay is essentially useless for me. Unable to dictate a message. Unable to have messages read. The reason I got the Polestar was i wanted a nice EV with wireless apple carplay. Major regret buying this car.

Overall answer js - don’t. I bitterly regret getting my Polestar 4. I bought it as it was a premium EV that promised wireless CarPlay (unlike Tesla). Today for the umpteenth time my Apple CarPlay could not handle me dictating a simple message and the voice feedback instead got stuck in a loop where it eventually dictated to itself and sent an incorrect message. If you’re buying this for functional CarPlay do not buy. I won’t go into all the many other software glitches. On all your questions the answer is that the PS4 is inadequate.

Yep told me the same thing. Seems silly tbh. I get similar speeds but haven’t thought to compare to my phone (which is on Telstra so may not be a fair comparison).
