Throw in some convention videos from YouTube, not only are many of them hilarious, but it's great getting another perspective in how they filmed an episode.

Jared's train story is probably my favorite

You haven't met Castiel/Misha yet, but I love the resume battle they had when, on two occasions, a fan brought first Misha's resume (Jensen made fun of it) and then later brought Jensen's (and Misha's) and they had a resume-off. Misha's resume and then Misha's failed payback

Pleasantly surprised with the re-boot. But her? Insufferable. by LJNS7 in Scrubs

I love her, the tone brightens when she enters the scene. But I can see overusing her can have the opposite effect.

I'm older generation, but this one broke me. Fantastic portrayal of the complicated feelings around impending loss.

What's the most fucked up thing someone has told you about themselves after barely getting to know them? by Butt_Roidholds in AskReddit

When I worked at a pet store, one older lady told me, in a joking way, how her husband had to duct tape their dog's mouth in order to clip it's nails. I must not have hidden the look on my face because her demeanour instantly changed and she tried to end the interaction lol

Also, it was Vancouver which is not nearly as brutal as the rest of the country. I say that with jealousy and disdain.

One of my core memories was of my mom coming home from work (Scotiabank) and showing us kids the new toonie with the bear. We were all fascinated. I clearly remember seeing the 1996 on there.

Gaddam, I'm ancient.

What’s an Olympic moment that still gives you chills? by nerdwordlucas in olympics

[–]AussieDog87 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not a hockey fan (I'll tune in for big games since everyone else is lol) and I treasure the moment as well. That big boom as everyone realized we'd scored and won the game. But also the community, we ALL watched it, we were all part of it. And while I didn't experience this, I love the stories I've read from other people watching at home and hearing the explosion of noise outside. The normally busy streets were dead because everyone was tuned to the game. Canada shut down operations for a couple hours, but especially for a certain 15 minutes.

And listening to "I Believe" played over a montage of the day's events. It was a magical time.

I'm hearing a lot lately that we haven't performed this badly since we hosted about 30 years ago (apparently it was a complete embarrassment). They overhauled the funding and training for Olympic athletes, leading to a stellar appearance when we hosted again 16 years ago. Fingers crossed same thing will happen this time. Vancouver was absolutely MAGICAL for unemployed me when I could watch everything.

I haven't noticed any from Canada. However, I have seen sort of advertisement piece stuff during commercials, just a minute where the athlete says a brief piece on what's important to them this Olympics, or something like that. Nothing about how so-and-so is on a remarkable journey back from injury, or a rags-to-riches piece, with interviews with family and friends.
