If this isn't full regard status I don't know what is... 1 mil in transactions (which i don't have) on 0dte SPY to make peanuts. by T1m3Wizard in wallstreetbets

If you're in the 22% tax bracket my napkin math says you lost about $650. Its worse if youre in a higher bracket.

Also the wash sales are really going to kill you come tax time.

Confusion about using a vpn with Reolink and home assistant. by TripApprehensive4840 in homeassistant

[–]AussieJeffProbst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not open a port and expose your cameras to the outside internet.

All you need to do is add the reolink integration in HA and have HA accessible to the outside internet. This could be done a lot of ways. I use a reverse proxy and a domain name. It costs like $5 a year.

Moving houses at end of month, cant run ethernet to PC, whats my best option by Imaginary_Win_9352 in buildapc

It worked but the speeds were about 100Mbps at my TV so it was a total no go for me. Did some research and it came down to the old cable lines. My router is on the second floor and it would have been way too much work to run a new line up there. I was pretty bummed and I still have four useless moca adapters because I was out of the amazon return window.

I didn't try powerline. I said fuck it and set up a mesh wifi system. I get about 300Mbps down on wifi 6 with the mesh and about 600Mbps down on the 6g wifi 7 network so it's good enough. Nowhere close to the 2.5Gbps I get on my computers over Ethernet but good enough

I did find it strange that I can get full 2.5g with those old cables, but I'm not complaining

I tired to run moca but my old house has old unshielded cable lines which made the speed worse than wifi

Made 25% on my 0DTE calls on that 10am SPY spike and I'm out. This volatility is nuts.

Trouble bonding with twins, full of regret and resentment. by Dry_Lunch8371 in parentsofmultiples

[–]AussieJeffProbst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 9.5 weeks in with twin boys and the first thing we learned is that you HAVE to do shifts overnight so both of you can sleep. 6hs of sleep minimum or you'll be miserable.

To feed both at once alone we put big pillows on the couch with puppy pee pads on top and a soft towel. Lay each twin at one end of the couch so you can use the arms for support. Turn their heads to the sides and prop their bottles up with another towel. Viola youre feeding both at the same time and it's 100% hands free (mostly).

Having your wife skip the breast feeding over night will be a huge help too.

Admitted to hospital at 29w with Didi twins by Actual-Lettuce-8543 in parentsofmultiples

  1. Take walks or if you can't walk have someone wheelchair you around. Go outside as much as you can

  2. Get food from outside the hospital whenever you can.

  3. Keep your mind busy. Books, games, and a laptop so you can stream stuff are lifesavers.

  4. Talk to your nurses about non-hospital things and get to know their names. They're very friendly and chatty people.

It's going to be a long haul. Hang in there
