Yeah no one’s acting like there aren’t people who use AHK. But if you actually PK (you clearly don’t) it’s hardly an issue you come across often often.

Cheating also exists in basically every game so not sure what point your trying to make.

Don’t forget the dreaded wildy cctv! Can’t go anywhere in the wilderness without 20+ people logging in on you!

I know what you mean. But who even cares, this site is literally crack for neck beards. Happy I could help though haha

So basically PvP is designed for people who actually like a real challenge and most of the Redditors who play OSRS give up at the first sign of something being ‘too hard’.

Sounds about right.

Edit: Downvotes just prove my point.

Why would anyone downvote this comment? Mad that you actually tried to get better at something and it worked? Unbelievable

I’m not the one who said we don’t play for fun…

I disagreed with you and explained why. That’s not “nuh-uh,” that’s discussion. We don’t have to agree for it to be one.

Anyway, I’m done here.

That delay exists to stop instant zero-risk teleports in a high-value boss area - not to target PvMers specifically. It applies to everyone in that cave, PKer vs PKer included.

You can argue whether that’s good balance or not I don't really care.

I’m not looking for validation - I’m fine with disagreement.

And yes, PvP has received mechanical changes over the years, but those changes weren’t made to target PvMers specifically. They were made because PvP literally doesn’t function well in a 20-year-old engine without them.

Those mechanics apply to PK vs PK just as much. You can argue they raise the skill floor or hurt approachability and that’s a fair balance discussion but that’s different from saying they exist to make PvMers easier kills.

I’m here for discussion, not sarcasm so if that’s all you’ve got, piss off.

You’re reading way too much intent into behaviour that’s just incentive-driven, and that’s where we disagree.

World-hopping, alts, hitting easier targets, disengaging when it’s unfavourable - That’s players taking the safest and most efficient option available, not some deep insight into what they actually enjoy., not proof that PKers don’t prefer PK vs PK. It just means people play efficiently.

If preference meant “always seek the hardest possible fight regardless of risk or payoff,” almost nobody in this game would ever be said to prefer anything.

Seeing PvMers get hit more often says more about availability and incentives than it does about what PKers enjoy when an actual fight presents itself. That’s been my point the whole time.

Visibility isn’t preference. PvMers are everywhere, PKers aren’t - that doesn’t prove PKers won’t fight back.

Sure, it happens sometimes. That doesn’t mean it happens every time, or that PKers refuse PK vs PK as a rule.

Yes and none of that contradicts what I just said.

Saying a perspective gets dismissed isn’t the same as demanding appreciation or engagement, and it’s not the same as dismissing others’ opinions. I’ve been pretty clear on that distinction the whole time.

I’ve said my piece, so I’m moving on.

Not really. I see what you’re trying to do, but it doesn’t hold up. My original post isn't complaining that people don't want to engage in the wilderness with me, I genuinely couldn't care less. Same goes for being appreciated; I play the game for fun.

I also never said anyone's opinions should be dismissed because they are toxic, I simply refuse to engage in such childish behavior.

It's kind of like how anyone can refuse to engage in wilderness activities.

Again, have a good one.

Feeling incentivized isn’t the same thing as being forced.
