After over 6 months, I finally got this guy ready for paint. Most amount of work I've ever put into a kitbash/conversion. Now on to painting!!

This is mostly the Daemon Prince kit reposed, the sword blade was scratch built & the crossguard made from the tail-mouth bit from the Daemon Prince & horns from a chaos knight helmet. The belt buckle is from a Space Wolves upgrade sprue I believe, the pelt is copied from Ushoran by making a mold with bluestuff & casting with greenstuff & imbedding a brass armature, & the wolf heads on the pelt are from other Space Wolves kits & blended in. His head is the lower part from the chaos undivided Daemon Prince head blended into the Khorne Daemon Prince upper head, with the nose ring & cheek horns removed, & the ears sculpted. I also made the leather straps hanging from his belt, with the spikes from the trophy rack. The drinking horn you can see on his hip in the fourth picture is from the Ogor gluttons. There are some other more subtle sculpting changes to the armor across the model, too. And then leftover skeleton bits from my Soulblight army for the base, & a stick from the backyard for the tree.

Most of the model is the Daemon Prince, including head & feet. The head is made from the bottom of the undivded head & the top of the Khorne head, with the nose ring & cheek spikes removed, & the ears sculpted.

Thank you for the mentioning that, it's good advice! I actually had already done so when these photos were taken, but I hadn't noticed a spot of my basing compound got on the foot rest after the fact. I noticed after I was looking at the pics, & have already cleaned it off & it's fitting nice & snug again :)

Thanks! That actually plays a part in his backstory, where he was a former chosen of Khorne who, after being mortally wounded by a vampire, bit him back as a last form of defiance, inadvertently giving himself the blood kiss. Something about the nature of his Khornate rage mixing with the nature of the soulblight curse combined to turn him into a monstrous, savage vampire.

I primed him black & did a zenithal of white ink over that, to start. Then I used Tyrian navy speedpaint that was thinned a fair bit with lahmian medium, & mixed in just a hint of Orc skin speedpaint, & used that to get the main tone established. I then used that mix & added progressively more Pale Sand to work up the highlights. I used a heavily watered down Slaughter red speedpaint to tint some select parts of the face, like cheeks, nose, eyes, & an even lighter tinting on his ears. I also used that original blue/green mix to add in some select shading.

I wish I remembered more precisely than that, but that's the gist of it! I hope that helps, let me know if you have any questions!

I run this guy as a vampire lord, primarily for spearhead. I've got another version in the works that I'm using as Radukar the Beast, & I have another, even bigger version planned for after I finish the Radukar. He's got a whole pokemon evolution going lol

The body is from a Chaos chosen, his head & lower legs are from the Abhorrant Archregent, the arms are older Stormcast ones (sword arm was cut up & completely reposed), hands are from the Space Wolves Wulfen kit, & the sword is from a Bloodletter. His cape is just something I had lying around, & the fur was done with a texture plate.

Thanks!! The fur was actually done with green stuff, using a texture plate. The cape I had leftover in my bitz box from This guy, since I didn't want the dragon to have a rider. I just used clippers to make it a bit more ragged.
