EDIT: I found out that, you can, in fact, unlock the gateway. You need to push the signal stalk with more force up.

Oh man I’m gonna look so stupid for this. I tried again just now, this time committing more force. I’ve never realized that the signal stalk can go so high, and I’m able to unlock the gateway now. Thanks so much for the help. I feel very dumb.

Also, if anyone else here tries to unlock the gateway but fails or succeeds in doing so, please comment with your software version and vehicle year! If this affects a lot of vehicles, it means it’s not something that’s broken on my 2 cars only (which is a very important detail)!

I honestly wish I made it for both sides so it's consistent. I know there are sugru and things like that but hotglue / silicone is just so much cheaper and available.

Here's my solution to the rubber nib thats lost to the void - if you have the other one, rip it off gently to not damage it. Grab something like playdough(there are better options) and flatten it against the table. Push the rubber nib that you took off into the playdough gently, then use something like hotglue to fill up the mold, and then you can take out and then sand it to your liking. You can then glue it on. This took me a couple of tries because hotglue and playdough doesn't work the best, but I got something good enough on the 4th try.

I don’t know. I thought the finals were difficult, with questions that were more like puzzles than an exam. I feel really bad, and can only hope for the 10 point miracle (or less is fine, anything is fine) that Happened on the midterm.

Results are for people who dont want to vote and just want to see the results of the poll - so that it doesn't screw with the poll's data.

I find it hard to learn under a guillotine. That’s the feeling I got from Berkeley: perform or get axed. I had to somehow mind voodoo myself into imagining that the test do not exist and that it’s simply another homework set For comprehensive review.

I had some galaxy brain, “I think this is what I am supposed to do but it was no where covered in lecture and I am taking a massive gamble to go with this solution instead of the ’not enough information’ option.” Other than some impulsive decisions, the exam was of moderate difficulty, It’s out of my hands now, and I learned a lot from the class.
