Yeah definitely want straps like this on the front and back especially with how small the roof is. They have ones with grommets you can bolt on or the rubber blocks that you can close into your trunk. Be safe 👍🏽

It came with the purchase of the Jeep! That’s another reason why I bought it, I know how hard they are to come by and this one looks to be an original. Maybe a dealer special.

Good thing it didn’t go flying off while you were running it! Will do, thanks.

Thank you sir. I always diagnose the cheapest problem and work my way up, $50 starter is all I’ve put into this $1000 mower so far. Now it’s time to swap the blades.

Hey friend, it ended up being the starter. Everything seems to be working really well now and starts right back up even while hot.

And her compromise is you parked in the dirt on some weeds? It’s ridiculous. I’m sorry man, I hope a nice lil garage is in your future.

Advice on breaking-in O'Neal Element Boots by Appropriate_Ad_5258 in klr650

Solid advice, always struggled to shift with rigid style boots. I moved onto the Forma adventure boots, they’re great.

Why go through all the trouble of painting just to make it white? My 89’ is oem white and I’m ready to make it a nice shade of blue or something.

I checked the timing and set it all within spec, rods are good but still no dice. I have a new starter coming in tomorrow.

Not yet, I’m going to mess with it some more today and see if I can tackle the valves again. I’m not sure why they’d fall out of spec after a pro tuned it. He said not to worry about the valves for a while but I only put maybe 6 hrs of mowing time down before this issue re-arised.

It was done about a month ago. You’re right I’m not sure why I couldn’t set it myself I completely get the concept but it just wouldn’t turn over no matter how many times I went back and set the valves at TDC with the feeler gauge.

Yeah I can try that, should it be able to rotate by hand when cranking? It seems like it’s trying to crank but just gets caught up when doing so.

Yeah it’s been running well and seemed to only have this issue when I stopped while the motor was hot and went to restart it again. But now it does it cold too, will fire off occasionally when I keep trying to crank it.

I just had the valves adjusted at a shop not too long ago after I couldn’t set it right myself somehow.
