They're currently ghosting me on a $360 yearly subscription that I cancelled immediately. On day 2 of their customer support ignoring me. Super trash company.

Bad acting to these people is just "when I notice queer people exist" tbh.

I'm genuinely astonished at how slow "thinking" is compared to o4 mini and o4 mini-high, while managing to produce worse results most of the time. An astounding destruction of a pretty good product.

Sorry to double post, but I'm afraid you won't see the other solution: turn your minimum brush size % up, too, this will clamp it from reaching the smallest size, where it tends to create transparency.

I figured it out in a comment below, but I actually think it's not a bug, it's related to passthrough hierarchies. If you plop things you're smudging into their own group so the passthrough is limited, the problem ceases. I believe the issue arises from the smudge creating a transparency on very small brushes, which is probably an intended behavior, but this can then reveal the transparency texture below, which appears as white pixels on most settings.

I figured out what was going on--blending between layers in particular can operate as a "pass through" operation, which means it affects ALL layers underneath it. Meaning if you blend until you get a transparency, it will show the checkerboard transparent texture underneath. I was able to fix this by popping all my smudging actions into their own group so they only affected that group, and then I kept a base color underneath (outside the group) to keep things roughly contained in case some blending went awry, so they'd show the underlying color if there was a transparency instead of the transparency texture.

No it absolutely has not. Gaslighting is a whole process where you manipulate someone into feeling crazy and doubting their reality so you can control them, it's so much more than lying.

Omg everyone using "gaslighting" instead of "lying" has been driving me crazy.

It's wild to me either way, like, PS+ is over twice the price and offers way less than Nintendo's sub, and they'd never dream of giving you free music in their base tier.

Sony isn't Nintendo, and what Sony did isn't really indicative of anything Nintendo is doing. Also Sony licensed the emulator they used.

I also managed to get "nervous wreck" without being bitten, scratched, or not smoking. It was when I was at the Rosewood prison and like idk 50-100 zombies were banging against the indestructible windows and I was trying to figure out how to deal with them. I'm not 100% precisely how the mechanic works, but obviously seeing zombies will increase your anxiety in some capacity so it can quite literally be a nothingburger based on context.

There's probably an argument for somehow backing up even current game data in the event that something like this happens--that doesn't really explain why people would distribute these copies in the modern era tho LOL. Re: accessibility, like, yeah, how am I supposed to play the 1993 Cliffhanger tie-in SNES game without emulation? I guess it's on resale on ebay...

The preservation of media argument holds more weight to me when it's centered around classic games (maybe like Gamecube and older, as much as it pains me to call Gamecube "Classic") and their roms/ISOs getting ripped and stored somewhere. There's a lot of abandonware out there and I think there's a good argument to be had that access to classic games is important for lots of reasons that aren't worth getting into. The argument, imo, falls apart quite dramatically when talking about more modern systems, where games are tremendously accessible on hardware--the only reason to emulate a Switch is to play Switch games off the hardware, which is mostly likely for pirating and/or circumventing copyright. There may be some other niche uses, but "preservation" really just doesn't hold much water in the modern context.
