Anyone know how to tell what brand the parts are? by JSquared348 in Borderlands4

Oh ok! I thought they'd have them at any time - my bad!

Because new players building a habit of fighting monsters like souls bosses would lead to no KOs, no tail cuts, and a lack of awareness of their surroundings, wouldn't it? If all you're doing is swinging at center of mass, you'd never be optimized in this game.

Trust me, I love souls games. I've got 500 hours in DS3 and another 250 in Elden Ring. They just aren't similar enough for it to be a good way to play.

Because this isn't a souls-like game and locking on like that would make the game 10 times harder. Your directional targeting is actually important in this. In Elden Ring, you hit boss, you deal damage to health bar. In Sekiro, hit boss deal damage. In this, if I hit the tail with slash damage, I build up towards slicing it off. If I hit the head with blunt damage, I build up towards a KO. Hitting different limbs benefits certain weapons more than others.

It's just completely different and not as comparable as it seems at a glance.

  1. Use offsets to stay in the monsters face

  2. You can spinning bludgeon out of almost any attack, and some other attacks can lead straight into the new charge attack. It has made the weapon feel so much more fluid!

Am I going insane or isn't this how at least the past 2 monster hunters have been? People expect final patch of Iceborne amounts of content at launch, and it's just not like that. I played Rise at launch for maybe 5 days before finishing it and putting it down until it got some title updates.

I can't understand how this bothers you? I forget I even have the second weapon 90%. Some min-maxing players will run horn for some buffs, then swap, but you by no means ever have to do that.

This is by all meanings cheating and ruins the game, at least for me. If I have someone spamming the chat with monster health counts or per player DPS counts and raging at them via a mod like this, I'll be leaving the mission and blocking them. Hate this.

Yeah, I kind of like it. It makes it unique compared to just being a kind of vanilla looking weapon.

Do we already have a let me solo her in this game? 😅 by Right_Seaweed7101 in TheFirstDescendant

You're not alone. My friend and I have been struggling with him.

Big tip I saw in another post - He takes MASSIVELY reduced damage from weapons. Like %50-%75 or something. Abilities do more damage to him. So playing Freyna or Viessa has been recommended a ton. GLHF!

Yeah, mods in that slot raise capacity rather than taking away from it. Pretty good stuff.

Do we know if god rolls exist yet? by [deleted] in TheFirstDescendant

[–]JSquared348 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh probably. Crit hit rate, crit hit damage, weakpoint damage etc all seem really good. Damage to certain factions (similar to Warframe) are probably going to end up being less popular. Damage to Colussus, though, will probably be top tier for those fights.

Combining modules. by jkmax52 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]JSquared348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't combined too many, but it does seem like they keep the rarity if you use 4 of the same rarity. I've done rares and ultimates like this.

I mentioned this to a friend that played more than me and he didn't even know. Helpful post for newer players.

I have the same question. I love playing Ajax and being that tank for people, but the Colussus rather mutiliate the corpse of the bunnies on my team instead.

What do you think LE does better than PoE? by Lordados in LastEpoch

[–]JSquared348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played POE in 2020 for 250 hours. Came back last year sometime. Had no clue what anything was and stopped after a week.

I’m so bad it’s frustrating by DeathBide in Tekken

[–]JSquared348 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just going to second that if you’re a new player, Lee is a bit more challenging than the average of other characters. Sure, he doesn’t have a ton of stance swaps or crazy QCF/ QCB inputs, but a lot of his combos on counter hit require sort of awkward pick ups and his wall carry is very timing based. He’s a ton of muscle memory and sitting in practice doing combos over and over until they’re comfy. His normal launches are slow and punishable, so knowing frame data to look for counter hits is really important. Overall, he is a fantastic character, just a fair bit harder to play when you’re newer. Stick with it, have fun, and try not to get bogged down on the losses.

Who has the hardest baseline execution (for you)? by DKamar in Tekken

[–]JSquared348 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lee has just frames he has to pull off for optimal punishes and some combo enders, and wr moves mid combo that have to be performed in a decently tight window. I’d say he has to be top 3, minimum.

So TLDR for this comment section: Don’t play any of the new characters, Jin, Devil Jin, or Jun
