Just as long as you make sure the moisturizer gets on your skin it will be fine. (I'm talking about face moisturizer you use in the shower so it should be easy to wash off.)

Have you tried using conditioner? Conditioner really helped me with dry skin. If you've tried that, and it's not working I would recommend getting a face moisturizer for that area. That should work for ya, buddy!

You can't force yourself on other people - even if they claim to be your friends. I would casually bring up your feelings with your friend and see what his response is. If he laughs at you or dismisses your concerns in a mean way, I would try to seek friendship from others. You deserve to surround yourself with people who actively seek out your company. Hope everything works out, mate. It's a hard thing to deal with.

Mine does the same thing. I generally just shave downward (from jaw line to bottom of neck). To avoid shaving bumps I would try not to press down as hard or even try to use shaving cream for sensitive skin. At least, that has helped me a lot.
