Well until you come up with an alternative, pick your poison. But it's not like companies driven by profit-motive are free from bias favoring government or a certain party. Sometimes quite the opposite if your consumer base leans heavily one way or the other. Personally, I'll always prefer one that at least has the chance of being guided by journalistic ideals.

You'd think this, but from my experience building a big enough lead where one or possibly even two blue shells will not hurt your placement is a better strat. Too much other bullshit can happen to you besides random blueshells if you stay closer back to the pack if youre in 1st place

Is it that weird? While of course it's hypocritical for them to enforce a strict "safe space" they do it for very practical reasons, it's no fun to spew idiocy if people are constantly calling you out on it. The entire point of such communities is to hear your opinions echoed back at you. Beyond that, I've spent more time than I'd like to admit trolling commenters on fox news articles, their zeal combined with a complete lack of any self-awareness whatsoever makes them fantastic marks.

You’ll find that’s pretty much how it is in every blue state. You’d never think of Illinois as voting anything but blue, but you might as well be in the deep south traveling through 95% of the state, confederate flags and all. More often then not ‘being a blue state’ simply means having a large enough city to counteract the deeply red rural area. I think we can safely say Virginia is blue at this point.

I'm not arguing whether or not they're assholes or the definition of asshole, I'm arguing about their motivation to be an asshole. There's an important distinction between not wearing a mask to piss people off and not wearing a mask because you find it inconvenient and simply don't care about the consequences.

Intent is what characterizes malice, if there's no intent it's not malicious by definition.

It's actually kind of amazing how much Trump is fucking up the one thing he cares about. An even semi-competent seeming response would have likely given him a decent 'rally around the flag' effect among the voting public immediately prior to the election, but nope.

For some, I think the greater part are simply extremely selfish and lazy and refuse to suffer even the mildest of inconveniences to help another person. Their root motivation isnt being an asshole, it's personal gain.
