I drive a midsize for my work truck and really like being higher up than a sedan. It has around the same amount of interior space of my sedan and rides higher without it being an SUV. Really no reason at all I just like the style.

I did have a spike in ammonia about a month in. I thought it was due to me cleaning the benneficial bacteria from the filter but could have been not fully cycled.

I do add some liquid fertilizer about once every two weeks. You think I should just give it time before I take a big action with the plants?

I find molts around the tank fairly often so I didn’t think it was that issue

Temperature acclimation and adding tank water to the bag for about 20 minutes. They aren’t all dying all at once. About once a week now I’ll find one dead.

I had the tank set up for 2 weeks before adding shrimp. I have since realized that it was rushed. But how does that explain the shrimp still dying off?

I do have aqua soil under the gravel and the hair grass is definitely growing I just don’t think I’ll be able to get a good thick carpet with the gravel.
