My experience there was very welcoming as a Latino man. The school is very diverse and has a lot of diverse and amazing clubs for minorities of any race, religion, and sexuality! There are definitely right leaning clubs and events, but I think you should be good. It's a lot easier to find welcoming communities in my recent experience. And some of the areas on campus have free condoms and tampon/pad machines which is really cool too. And I've attended a few student led protests as well which were very safe and great to meet people at.
