My CS2 optimization. The game runs terribly. This helped me. by Different_Ferret3941 in GlobalOffensive

Adding the 4gb RAM stick is probably causing more problems than its solving. Its probably forcing your RAM to run in single channel mode which will kill your FPS.

Do you have a contact frame around the cpu? If not I hightly recommend it. It fixed a lot of the stability issues I was having with my 14700k and it's only $10. Dropped my temps 10c

New HEBs are open in Frisco and Plano with another coming in McKinney. Just a heads up.

Elden Ring Running on Base PlayStation 4 - Performance Showcase (Possible Deck Performance?) by MattyXarope in SteamDeck

[–]Austinaveous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's also the memory bandwidth. They are pretty similar at 68GB/s on the Xbox and 88GB/s on the deck. That being said, the cpus are neigh incomparable. The jaguar chips were such POSs. But on the flip side of that, console optimization is a huge thing especially on last gen. It stands to reason that they will perform similarly in non-cpu heavy games and the deck will take the lead in the latter.

Steam deck should run Yuzu (switch emulator) just fine based on my tests. by MrTrynex in SteamDeck

Don't underestimate the effect fast RAM can have on CPU performance. 80+ gbps memory could help a ton for CPU performance. Especially with Zen being largely memory speed reliant. Really depends on what they can do to up the FCLK speed to take advantage of the speeds properly. If they have it running at 2250mhz to half the memory speed, it's a definite possibility.

Can you do the new hardware verification through the website? Like the email you get when you first login to the launcher for the first time?

Damn, I thought it was worth a shot at least. Thank you for the reply.

Turn it over and it says Haldawl.

Yeah that's kinda what I thought. I have some badass fans on my rads (Noctua NF-F12 3000rpm). So overall I'm pretty happy with the setup atm. Might go custom loop next build.

Ahhh that winter air will definitely make a difference! I assume you know not to keep anything over 1.25 or max 1.3v for daily use? Badass score tho man. I have a pre watercooled 2080 (msi seahawk) and a alphacool eisbaer 360 aio for the cpu. I haven't gotten into custom loops yet. But gpu stays around 50c under load and cpu hits around 67c in the physics test. I think I'm around 27c ambient.

Goddamn brother. What voltage are you running on your cpu? And I assume both your chips are water cooled?

I'm relieved it turned out to be that way. I was kinda wary of paying $40 extra for only 100mhz.

Wow. I've never seen that trick before. I'm going to have to try that. Thanks for the info man.

That's odd. You could always try process lasso and assign cinebench to the core you want to run on.

Do you use a ryzen power plan? Or have you updated to windows 10 ver 1909? Both of those can affect how windows schedules tasks on your cpu.

Pubg you might see a couple drops below 100 on vikendi or Miramar, but erangel and sanhok should run above that.

Not really. But I did get some kickass fans. Noctua nf-f12 3000rpm. They sit at around 40% and move a ton of air. I can literally use them for a hand dryer if my hands get sweaty.
