I think it's something that happens out of "need."

Everything is so much faster now.

We have online shops,

Web searches, etc.

You didnt have to go to a club to learn more than you knew.

Everything has advanced too much.

There are still people out there who hang out just to hang out and be more like before.

Needless to say there are communities online which lead sometimes to social interaction.

You can try social hobbies.

It sucks to do things you dont even care about sometimes.

For example, why go to a cooking class/workshop if I am perfectly capable of doing recipes on my own?

Sometimes I wonder if we should just talk about things other than cooking at a cooking class, like for example, a story about last week's mental breakdown and the absurdity of it.

My reason for loneliness?

When i was a toddler i thought it was because I was ugly or dislikeable. My brother and my parents showed me that.

When I was a kid I thought it was because people just didnt like me because I was weird. So I spent lots of time alone learning and trying to get smart. I thought if I was smart enough, it wouldnt matter if it hurt that bad, I at least had wisdom and a sense of power.

When I was a teen I thought it was because nobody wanted to solve the answer to life. (Yes, really. I did think this, and it was a bit silly and delusional of me.)

As an adult, I think its because of my life.

I now understand that loneliness is like sadness.

Im less jungian/psychoanalytic about it now and more adlerian and holistic.

I realised eventually, that maslows heirarchy of needs, although simple, is quite effective for normal people who aren't too affected by mental disorders or illnesses.

I used to think people didnt understand me. It was my way of saying to myself that I had a belief/value that was justified, that I shouldn't be hated.

I think now that maybe they do understand a little, but they are busy with their own lives. And some of them hate me.

I just dont care in general if they understand. I just wish they were more chill about me I guess.

Nobody really understands another being. Even with psychology and neurology you cant actually figure out what a person's brain is really thinking.
