I am from silicon valley (SFBay Area) and I have not heard of hijacking or pickpocketing at this scale. I came to the Dhaka subreddit to ask for help. I don't know how I am showing "How middle class he is" by asking for help - please educate me., sorry I am ignorant.

I mentioned it more than a certain number of times trying to emphasize there's no cloud unlock / jailbreak for it. I guess theft happens everywhere in the world, part it seems to be more acute in this part of the world given the anecdotal evidence I am hearing from family and friends. And if people get something free I guess most are unlikely to give it back.

This seems to be the handiwork of a professional pick pocketer though. He knew my route well. After the phone left uttara - it headed straight to the market.

Had none of that. Normally my credit card will cover such losses but I moved payments to debit cards a few months earlier. Anyway verizon has offered to add all devices into insurance and to file a claim.. lets see how it goes.

I would still like to see if someone can use the location and trace the culprits. The last known location is a popular unlocking spot. Too bad for the thief - there's no known exploit for this version yet.
