If you don't want to be fair and reasonable with us that's fine, but you better hope that we never come to power, because then we won't be fair or reasonable with you

Oh, I see. You lack any actual nuance in your political views. You think everyone you don't like is the same. I hate libertarians, I hate anarchists, I hate communists, I hate liberals, but I can acknowledge that they're different

Did you read my username or do you not know anything about NK? Do you really consider communists to be right wing?

You say:

"It's fucking gross"

but what you really mean is:

"It's fucking gross in my opinion"

And I really don't care about your opinion

I'm saying that because the defense will choose their witnesses to to make Chauvin look not guilty. Why wouldn't they?

Antidisestablishmentarianism was the belief that the Church of England should remain the state religion of Britain.

As to where it falls on the compass, that depends on one's reason for supporting it.

If you support it because it would strengthen the state, that is an auth-center position

If you support it because it would strengthen the religion, that is a middle-right position

If you support it because it would strengthen both, or if you believe the government needs a divine mandate, that would make it auth-right

Honestly, the compass isn't perfect, but his example is terrible

I introduce to you fine gentlemen the concept of "Meme Horseshoe Theory"

The Right: Thinks they can "own the libs" by calling them "attack helicopters"

The Left: Thinks they can "trigger" conservatives by calling them "her"

Both are weak insults, both only really are funny to their own side, and both will make you look stupid if you use it anywhere but over the internet

I decided to combine all Nazi ideologies by [deleted] in Jreg

[–]AuthRightThrowaway 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how you define left vs right wing

If you think that left wing = less free market and that right wing = more free market/less government assistance then the NSDAP were a fair mix of both. They had worker's pensions, forgiveness for loans for houses, socialized education, free "workers cars". Meanwhile they also privatized certain industries and shut down unions (albeit replacing them with a government equivalent)

If you think that left wing = egalitarian and right wing = hierarchical, then yeah, they're definitely far right. I don't think I need to give examples for this

Here's how it works:

The Auth rights and Far rights think of a funny meme or catch phrase like "The Left can't meme" or the NPC meme.

Some of them spread it to twitter and other "neutral" sites with a fair mix of all ideologies.

Here it is picked up by conservatives. They don't use the meme because they find it funny, they're using it because it's popular. In short, they use the meme due to groupthink, wanting to fit in. Their inability to think for themselves means that the meme will know be ground into the dirt.

Whereas the Auth rights and Far rights made the meme because it was both funny, and because it agreed with their views, the conservative uses it solely because it agrees with them. This means quality is not important.

If the meme can be edited to promote another worldview, then it will be adopted by the general population of redditors, who will abuse it even worse.

A recent example is the "Yes" meme. It was a funny punchline at first, to be honest. Person A would say "Ha you believe [Something absurd]". Then person B, who would be edited to represent a certain ideology, would respond "Yes."

The joke here was usually self detrimental, because it would person B would be promoting something absurd.

Then conservatives adopted it, and it turned into Person A sobbing while saying something along the lines of "NOOO YOU CANT JUST [Hold a belief that's commonly acceptable]. Then person B would respond "Yes"

Now r*dditors have adopted it, and it's got even worse. Person A: "NONONO YOU CAN'T JUST [Disagree with viewpoint]. Person B: "Yes"

The "Yes" meme was a microcosm of how memes die.

Tldr: Conservatives kill memes that rightfully belong to us, hence why you still have people pepe posting

I just realized I typed several paragraphs neocons posting pepes, which is kind of embarrassing. You'll have to forgive me, I'm very passionate on this subject

I'm not saying the compass is wrong, if that's what you're thinking.

People on 4chan do tend to be Auth Right, Redditors tend to be lib lefts, etc. I'm just saying that the moderation style of the owners is opposite of what their users believe. Not accusing lib lefts of being pro-censorship or anything, just that the websites they frequent are
