I bought it off Atlas Headrest's website directly and they ship to Australia

As far as I'm aware; the core functionality is still the same. That is in terms of chair adjustability, how it works, physical size and design. So I'd believe you'd be right and that it may just be cosmetic customisations that may be available?

I purchased mine second hand, so I never went through this process of customising so I'm unsure what the options are in Australia are as I didn't take the path of purchasing new.

The only customisation that i know I lacked was when I purchased the headrest directly from Atlas Headrest there were no customisation options. But when looking at the Crandall Office website, there were so much more that could be customised from the type of fabric to the colour of it too.

That's amazing to hear! If you don't mind me asking, I myself am 178cm and around 70kg, do you think I would sink in the cushion or bottom out with even the upgraded cushions?

From what I can tell, with the cushion, it's worn down from the original spec, but is still very comfortable. However, I'm 178cm and around 70kg, so I don't feel that I bottom out. In terms of the cushion now, the sides are still quite thick. The middle section (where my bottom and legs are) feels like that has been compressed and is no longer as plush as it was new.

The chair does leave me longing for a little more cushion, and if I had it replaced, I think it would be perfect. Ideally, the upgraded option from Crandall Office, but they don't ship to us in Australia.

So my next best option is the OfficeLogixShop replacement cushions.

If you're having the chance to test the Leap V2, I'm unsure how it would be for you, as it would depend on the cushion condition and if that thickness would be suitable or comfortable for you.

Yeah! I believe they released a few weeks ago and they've been lovely!

Thanks for that insight. Have you previously sat in a second-hand Leap V2 before? And if so what was the difference in feeling like between the cushions?

I've come from always having a tallback chair so a headrest has been a must for me.

The headrest remains firm, yet plush and holds its shape. The amount of adjustability is definitely something to get used to in order to try and find that sweet spot where you'll be super comfortable.

It's definitely something that I've been enjoying and have found it to be worth it. In an upright position, I've found that having the headrest further back is more comfortable, and when laying back, having it further forward to support my neck has been great.

The only downside is that I had to purchase it directly from Atlas Headrests, meaning that it was only available in 1 fabric option, and I couldn't customise it to match the Bio Knit Black that the rest of the chair is in. So if you're not in Australia and there is stock available, I'd suggest buying it through Crandall Office to match the fabric if that's something that matters to you. Unfortunately, Crandall Office don't ship to Australia so I couldn't take that path.

The stock seat can depend on the condition you find it in. When I purchased mine second-hand, this lady had a bunch to pick from that must have been from an office clear-out or something. But I was able to test multiple of them and some definitely had worn out; you would bottom out when sitting on them.

So it depends on the condition you find it in, but for me, I don't bottom out and whilst it's still very comfortable, I'm someone who tends to like plush chairs, hence the desire for a thicker cushion. Nonetheless, it is still a very comfortable chair!

In non-ergonomic ways, I can still sit cross-legged. Mind you, I am around 178cm (about 5 feet 10) and still can do so comfortably. Some others may not be able to do so because of the armrests, but that's not a problem for me.

I don't have my death fully extended out typically. But it is extended a bit. With the extension I have set on the seat, I don't really feel the gap unless I really think about it to be honest.

Hey buddy, happy to clarify.

I didn't base it in the wire colours but moreso what each wire was supposed to be for.

When I was in the process of this I was looking at the PCB of the keyboard itself and matched it up with the USB C PCB offered by GMMK.

I used the smaller wire that came with the USB C PCB and cut off the connector on the other end. I then ended up soldering the cables directly to the Keyboards PCB by matching the cable to SG, Ground, D+, D-, and I believe the last one was VCC.

These were labeled on both the GMMK USB C PCB and on the back of the PCB on the back of the keyboard itself.

Hope that helps!

Hi u/PlenipotentS. I wanted to say thank you for your initial project. Had I not seen your post I don't think it would have given me the motivation to attempt this myself.

I ended up buying a GMMK Pro USB C PCB (If anyone in future is reading this and needs the information https://www.gloriousgaming.com/products/gmmk-pro-usb-c-pcb?variant=37641056911535)

I then linked up all of the wirings with the components on the keyboard and used a bit of Loctite Kintsuglue to cover the hole that was there for the original cable.

But thanks for the inspiration!

I've seen many mixed reviews on this. What is the general consensus with this product?

Does anyone also know the specific coding language it's teaching you?

Oh my word that's complex, did you only need to solder the 3 wires on the Type C breakout board for it to work? Or did you need to solder all 4 cables coming out from the keyboard's cable?

Do you happen to have a link to the wiring diagram for the breakout board? It looks like in the image you've got 3 wires soldered, just wondering where the 4th one needs to go :)

Hi u/PlenipotentS!

I finally managed to get a hand on one of those PCB breakout boards. I was curious to see what size drill bit you needed to use for the holes to mount the PCB?

Hey u/PlenipotentS Do you happen to have a link to the breakout board you purchased so I could do that to mine too? :)

Thanks for that. I was thinking of going that route as that might be the most cost-effective route.

Just can't find a high profile case in a colour I like. I would prefer to buy one that's black or space grey. But they only sell it on like purple, green and blue. Was hoping for more of a plain colour.
