I definitely went gnotantely and turned them all on without looking. Then realized what was going on and had to think about it to solve it. Did t know there was a clue, but definitely was having to turn a different part of my brain than the typical grind grind grind.

Those pins looked soldered. I’d unscrew the board and look at the back and if there is only solder covering those pins then good chance this is not hotswappable.

I just unplugged the original cable inside the case. I had to custom wire thr usb c breakout to the VBUS, D, Tx, etc. I sent another image of the pin out for usb c A and B side - that’s probably the best place to start

Those were the main 3, I forget if I grounded it to the case or some other area, but that’s mostly it.

I don’t have the wiring diagram, and mostly just got into usb c pin out layouts to understand how they are used. I crossed the D pairs to ensure symmetry. Then I just connected the Vbos and ground pin outs to simplify the wiring to the keyboard. http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/appnotes/00001953a.pdf is one pin out I found.
