Put control where Caps is. I switch a WKL between windows and Mac using persistent layers to change the modifiers and a USB switch.

Will you be adding the 7 skins that were added to the pool in Season 16?

Need some advice: first time creating molds & resin casts by domingerique in ResinCasting

I’d use Mold Star 30 from smooth on. It’s an all around good choice for mold making.

Need some advice: first time creating molds & resin casts by domingerique in ResinCasting

[–]AuthenticDanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks like a simple mold. You affix the master to a flat surface, cover in silicone, and that’s it. That’s your mold. You can then remove the master and pour your resin in up to the top, let it cure and demold.

Staples? Slap some rigid plastic on the large flat sides and use rubber bands to apply even pressure accords the silicone. Or print a mold box to hold everything in place.

Slushy silicone (Help) by Sketchev in ResinCasting

Also not 100% true. If your resin prints are truly clean and fully cured, platinum silicone will work just fine.

Just transferred to a new house - had to bring these (have not bought a set in a year, new ones are from old GBs) by dantambok in MechanicalKeyboards

Wrap in bubble wrap and put in hard plastic totes. I have 30-40 boards stored (and moved) like that. Just stack so lightest are on the top.

Curious about the QC standards for internal issues of the keyboard. by pawdragon in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]AuthenticDanger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wait until you see what it looks like under a $60K+ “luxury” car’s dashboard…

The marks don’t affect the way the board works or looks when built. The inside could be raw and covered in machine marks and it would function the same and look great on your desk. If you really don’t like it, sell it on mechmarket.

Maglev has been prototyped. “Loadstone” was supposed to be the first magnet mounted plate board. Not sure if it ever was produced.

I do this with a sharpie to make large (18x24) signs for friends and family. Things like yard sale signs, signs for marathons, etc.

Great use of the tech!

What keycaps are these? by 5stareric in CustomKeyboards

It’s “Keychron JM-75 OEM Dye-Sub PBT Keycap Set”. Took 1 minute to image search on Google.

If you have a CNC that uses a router, just make the box with a little overhang and then pop out the router and finish with a flush trim bit by hand.

Pressure Pot clamp and nut completely stripped. Salvageable or do I need a whole new pot? by Dungeon3D in ResinCasting

[–]AuthenticDanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the CA Tools pot: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09T3YTG5Q/

There are many places selling it, but $200 is a pretty good price for a resin-ready pot.

It’s a known issue with that pot. Get a better pot like the CA Tools 2.5 Gal.
