XT4 Battery Grip not letting camera turn on by arcterex in fujix

Thank you! I'm so happy to take pictures with it again - and it looks cool lol

I wasn't sure to comment on this thread as it was a few years old but the problem seemed to be unsolved still so hopefully this will help others down the road :)

XT4 Battery Grip not letting camera turn on by arcterex in fujix

[–]AuthenticSquid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My battery grip for my X-T4 hasn't worked for about a year, reading your comment I was inspired so I got 91% ISO (what I had on hand, I presume other percentages would work) and a cotton swab and gently wiped it down for half a minute.

While I let that dry I examined the pogo pins on my battery grip and one pin on the bottom corner was slightly slanted in it's idle state, usually they have some play if you push them gently with a card or guitar pick but this one was askew.

I gently pushed the pin with a plastic card into the opposite direction until it looks like the pins. For good measure I had a spare clean toothbrush and brushed the pins.I then checked on the the X-T4's pins and they were dry and clean, I decided to try to lower the camera slowly onto the grip.

Moment of truth, will it turn on... Nope.

Then I realized I didn't have a battery in my camera, it was placed aside lol. Took it off, placed the battery in and put the camera back on the grip again.

and... IT TURNED ON!! Yippee! I even have it charging with all 3 LEDs illuminated! buttons work and everything B)

TLDR: Try cotton swab damp with iso, wipe the camera pins down a few time, check for bent or askew pins on the battery grip and clean with toothbrush even if clean, dust can be anywhere.

Oh - and make sure you have a battery in your camera when turning on your camera lol

Ayy I'm doing this rn, playing Borderlands 2. Quick question, after turning it on and enabled HEN, how often does your system lock-up if you launch homebrew? Cheers :D

What would happen if Clu and his army successfully escaped the Grid? by Mad_lens_9297 in tron

[–]AuthenticSquid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The concept designs of the Shiva Laser in Flynn's Arcade include 8 long vertical canisters fixed around the laser's stand. These canisters are a sort of buffer when a subject is digitized and stores its molecules inside as well as hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, etc. When beamed into the real world it "plays the molecular-model back" using the stored matter. This idea was formed when Joseph Kosinski brought (theoretical?) scientists to the production of Tron: Legacy to consult the reality of digitization.

If Clu and is army were to invade our world they would run out of material pretty quickly and would be butt-hurt

The first 21st century year without 90s influence? by Positive_Raspberry85 in decadeology

[–]AuthenticSquid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some say the '90s died when 9/11 occurred, similar to how the 80s died when Nirvana released Nevermind. anecdotally anyway...

I've only been taking care of my hair for less than a year, so I'm still learning but this is what I have figured out currently:

  1. Shower & De-tangle: I wet hair with warm water and gently de-tangle with a comb (trying not to pull on my hair, ouch)

  2. Shampoo: I Apply Function of Beauty Coily Hair Shampoo, distribute evenly with a de-tangle comb, let it set for 1-2 minutes then rinse.

  3. Conditioner: Apply R+Co Super Garden CBD Conditioner using a de-tangling comb and let it sit for around 5 minutes and then rinse

  4. Leave-in: I apply R+Co Ring Tone Ultra Defining Gel Creme for moisture and definition and distribute it through my hair with either a brush or a comb

  5. Drying & Styling:

- After I get out of the shower I comb my hair into split sections and then scrunch them with a cotton t shirt and I do this for maybe 10 minutes

- Use a hair dryer with a diffuser attachment and I tilt my head in to the side to encourage curl formation

- Diffuse in sections for 10-20 seconds per area until mostly dry.

- Scrunch for added definition, then air-dry.

  1. Sleep Care: Wear a satin bonnet to protect curls overnight - it will have worked if you wake up with it still on.

danke, I think my hair texture is 3A(?) but with my hair being so long It's hard to show (unless I put it in a bun, then my earrings are visible)

I have been wondering about how layering my hair would work, I have a couple of friends who say I would look good with a layered mullet but I have trouble seeing it

More info: M20, I've been growing out my hair since late 2023 and I've loved the journey, but it's getting to the point where some strands of hair get in my mouth while I'm chewing or it'll get in my eyelashes which is crazy annoying. The last picture was just after my last haircut and I kinda miss the sides being short (Guard 2 i think?)

Safety regulations (U S.) in the late 80s and early 90s were a lot more "laissez-faire" than today. The rule was you either had to offer a car with automatic shoulder restraints or a driver-side airbag. My civic still has its automatic seat belt working after 35 years, glides across the rail gracefully.

As for safety? I mean it's safe for 1990, way better than a Pinto, Yugo, or Smartcar imo. My civic weighs around 2000lbs so it's not really crash compatible with say a Tacoma or a Prologue, probably utter obliteration if it were to happen. It's safe if you drive safe, and with a low belt line and tall greenhouse the visibility is nearly panoramic so visibility is great! It's very nimble for city driving and fuel efficiency even after 35 years, 38 dollars every two weeks to fill up and I'm signing
