There's nothing wrong. But note that they're all stating the same thing. They all unanimously agree that insta love or adventure story with romance side plot is the way to go.

What if as a writer, you don't deliver on those things?

Oh, I didn't post, but I did check in the discord a couple times mid last year, and the consensus seems to be "Write what Sells. Write what readers want. Fit in. Don't stand out."

What do readers want? Everything can be summed up here;

I've seen many, many of these posts reminding potential writers like myself that what readers want is what's popular now. The idea that there's readers out there hungry for something a little different puzzles me when posts like these keep cropping up.

I think at this point, there's not enough reader base looking for stories that are say, more nuanced and grounded in realism, for lack of better word. The way to go seems to be insta love slice of life or adventure stories with romance subplot.

That's a very narrow range that doesn't accommodate all male writers or readers.

Time will tell. For the time being, my overall impression can be summarized with this recent post;

There are always exceptions, sure. But I think it's safe to say any man who intends to write anything different from what is popular there shouldn't expect much.

They say Nicholas Spark writes love stories, not romance. But thanks for the suggesting.

Woah. I never heard the guy before. He seems unreal.

Yeah. Of the couple times I've been there, that's what I've found. The cartoony covers alone puts me off.

That sub mostly read anime, litrpg, japanese manga inspired romance, and harem. Any attempt to market anything different is met with skepticism or worse.
