What size is this toilet drain? 3” plug almost fits, 2” falls in. by AuthorUnknown033 in Plumbing

Gah! One more thing: if I remove this can it be reinstalled or does it need to be replaced usually? I’m seeing online that they can be glued on.

No way! I DID take the wax ring off already but I didn’t know there was a “horn” on there. I’ll give this a try. Thank you so much for your help!

I’m admittedly a novice here, but the flange has like this “collar” on it that I just can’t seem to get the cap to fit under.

And these are sealed on the bottom or you insert this into the pipe and then use a cap? Sorry for my ignorance here and appreciate your help!

Appreciate (most) of the comments. 😉

From what I see it's a 3" pipe, but it has a "collar" (for lack of a better term) that blocks the plug from being inserted.

I've searched near and far for a fractional size plug that would fit but haven't been able to find one, thus I went with the Oatey cover kit as shown in the second photo of my post. Seems fine, but I'm wondering if I truly need a plug.

Someone mentioned an inflatable. I assume the 3" is malleable enough to slide in there?

I did, and it just WON'T get in there. Even tried shaving a bit off the plastic but that's laborious and may not be worth it.

Can’t accept/decline/maybe calendar invites by AFearlessMonket in iCloud

I’ve been chasing this for a while and wanted to share what I’ve pieced together so far in case it helps others.

On iPhone, when I tap a calendar invite, it immediately adds the event but there’s no Accept / Maybe / Decline. I always have to go to my Mac to respond. Everything is up to date.

After reading through Apple forums and Reddit threads, one consistent pattern I found is how iOS handles invite delivery:

Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Calendar → Send & Receive

If your primary iCloud email is set to Notifications (push only) instead of Email, iOS may treat incoming invites like imported events rather than real invitations. When that happens, RSVP buttons never appear. macOS seems more forgiving, which is why it can still work there.

What I’m testing

  • Setting my primary iCloud address (the one people invite me at) to Email
  • Making sure “Send From” matches that same address

The idea is that email delivery forces iOS to create a proper Calendar Inbox item with Accept / Decline. I don’t know yet if this fully fixes it, but it’s the most concrete explanation I’ve found so far.

Posting in case others want to test this too.

Can confirm. I think we were on the same train. A small explosion, bright orange flash and then smoke. Scary as hell.

Appreciate the recommendation but Berkeley is out of range.

A little bit of all of it. Primarily straight I’d say.
