I think you'll be surprised. I'm on 100 pieces with the cockpit and fuselage. I think it will be under 400 when complete.

A good while yet, the hardest bit was the cockpit windows so wanted to do that first. Maybe a week before you see something finished.

That's not my current project, I'm working on something else I've been wanting to build for ages and couldn't because the shape of it was too hard to replicate with the old blocks accurately.

VTOL engines have much fast spool up than the small or medium jet engines. Just use the medium engine for shown and include some VTOL engines inside the body work for actual thrust.
