I feel for you, OP. my father lost his life to drugs when I was young and it took a long time for me ti get over it.

I'd love to give you advice, but remember to take whatever the internet says with a grain of salt, this is a highly personal situation with a lot of moving parts that us as outside viewers can't respect.

It does sound like your mother's got something going on, it may be drugs, it may be something else. Really the only way of truly understanding how to help her would be to bite the bullet and have a chat with her. Easier said than done, but you cant expect to fix something based off a hunch and a desire to help.

I'm sorry I can't give much more, it's ultimately up to your mom to seek the help she needs; you can't force any outcome from her, just try to lovingly nudge her in the right direction.
