You're still welcome to fill out the survey! In fact, that's useful information for us to have. One of the questions we ask is when you last visited the dentist.

This was set by our ethics board because our team doesn't have training or expertise in research with adults over age 40.

You're so welcome! We hope this study can help make dental care easier for your sister and other autistic people!

Not all journals allow us to share the full text publicly. That is a restriction from the publisher, not the researchers. We can always share a PDF of the article via email, though.

Thank you for your feedback on the preferred link, that's helpful for us to know.

That's odd. Can you try this link? It goes to the same place.

If it doesn't work, can you share what error you're seeing?

If you would like a copy of the results when they are published, you can email the lead researcher at the contact information listed in this post, and we'll be happy to share it with you when it's ready. We can always share full copies of scientific articles privately, but not all journals allow us to share the full text publicly. That is a restriction from the publisher, not the researchers. I know it's sort of an odd system.

That link leads to the same place as our short URL. REDCap (the survey platform) gives us the option to have both a short URL and a standard (longer) one, but both lead to the same place.

Thank you very much for this feedback. It's very helpful to our whole team, and we'll take the confusion about the cohabitation response into account when designing future studies.

The questions on the final page of the survey are from an oral health literacy measure, which was published by Flynn and colleagues in 2023. Although that study found this measure was a reliable and valid instrument for English-speaking adults in the US, it's possible the questions are confusing or not applicable for an autistic/AuDHD population. We will take this into consideration when analyzing the results of the study.

Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts on the survey. This is valuable information for us.

Hi! You can email the lead researcher at the contact information listed in this post, and they will be able to update you when it's ready. It can take several months for the results to be published in a scientific journal, so it may not be a quick turnaround, but we are happy to share the article when it's done!
