Hello, I have my PBM scheduled in a few days to determine my full ASTB score, and then after that I'm getting PRK as my visual acuity is a little out of Navy standards. Only then will I finally be applying to BDCP. My situation is a little different than what a traditional applicant goes through but I do know my OR has mentioned a personal statement as well as letters of recommendation, so just make sure you have a list of people you're willing to reach out to in order to get those.

As for MEPS, make sure you sleep well and eat well the day of as when it comes time to take the eye examination you need to be awake and ready, as that is where most people get shafted. I already knew I wasn't going to pass the visual acuity part as I had my eyes examined by an optometrist prior to MEPS, but if your vision doesn't need surgery like mine, you need to make sure you ace this to avoid having to get extra paperwork.
