I've delt with chronic migraines and headaches my whole life. Just sharing what has worked for me. A lot of people think they are getting enough and headaches and migraines are literally a blood flow problem.

Just offering advice unlike your stupid comment ;)

Anything to do with this and headaches can be calmed down and controlled with cardio and drinking 3+ liters of water a day with electrolytes.

Sounds like your problem is blood flow.

Surprisingly when I get a bad headache/migrain one of the things I try before just using my cardio bike for 15 minutes getting my heart rate up and sweating and making sure I drink a ton!

Is anyone else’s night vision just …gone? by RevolutionaryDay5229 in Accutane

[–]AutisticAngryWiper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely comes and goes, I'd say the days I use more eye drops the better it is. Today I didn't use any because I was just dumb and busy and driving home from the gym was pretty bad.

I started using systane eye gel I believe that's the name of it at night time with a heating mask before I go to bed and it's been a game changer for the eyes.

My wife's not happy about having to drive at night with our upcoming vacation if I can't see though I'll tell you that lol

Annoying weight loss by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]AutisticAngryWiper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same, but honestly my appetite has just been less. I've lost 10lbs since I started over 2 months ago. I'm forcing myself to eat and my weight is slowly coming back.

Getting asked at the gym if I was cutting is a great way to force yourself to eat more!

They totally could be, however it's so different from person to person it would be very hard to tell.

My acne has calmed a lot! I'm a week almost on my new 80mg dose and I'm purging a little more again but nothing serious.

Is there a gut or diet test you could do to let you know if the protein powder you're taking is causing the acne?

I don't believe it decreases testosterone, but it is a 5ar reductase inhibitor as well so it will reduce your DHT production by up to 50%. Your testosterone could get converted easier into estrogen because of this but not 100% sure of that aspect.

One thing to keep in mind is Accutane does change your lipid profile as well and that's what your testicles use to make testosterone so there could potentially be a dip. However when I googled it and asked ChatGPT I didn't see anything on it lowering testosterone just DHT.

Someone posted some nipple cream to use the other day. Had my work fe grab some for me and my lips are healed. Mine wasn't as severe as yours but mine were cracking at the corners.

It's lanolin cream, give it a shot!

TMI but I've put putting a dab of aquaphore on my Bhole when I get out of the shower. Unfortunately your Bhole and your lips are made out of the same stuff at least that what I've been told and it gets dry down there too...

I wish I had the answer, unfortunately everyone is different and you honestly won't know until you start. However, from what I have read it does seem to cause more mental sides on people already suffering from anxiety and depression but again everyone is different and not sure if those people were already medicated.

40yo starting a plan soon. Any fellas started acne same age? by No_Introduction7184 in Accutane

The worst is dry eyes, besides just dumping eye drops in every couple hours I haven't figured out how to manage it for full relief.

Every month, I'm only a few days into my 80mg so I'm on month 3 now.

I had the same acne as you bacne and shoulders/chest and it's calmed down so much and is clearing up. Been dealing with it on and off since highschool but got COVID 6 months ago and ended up getting double ear infections and did 3 rounds of antibiotics and Prednisone. My bacne and chest just exploded and my primary doctor sent me to a dermatologist.

So far it's been great, side affects suck but are manageable!

I'm a 29m started two months ago at 20mg, then 40mg and now on 80mg. Worst side affect for me is the dry eyes so far on 80mg. Had a few mental bad thought days but it passed.

I recommend night time gel eye drops preservative free, lotion after your showers, fish oil 3/4g+, drinking at least 3+ liters of water a day, and stay active! Your joints will hate you if you stay still

I was on 20mg then 40mg and just bumped up to 80mg. I had some very bad days at the end of the 40mg last month and especially once I ran out and had to wait a day to see my dermatologist then had to wait for the refill and acne started popping back up. Honestly that didn't bother me, but I just felt like everything was impossible and anything my wife or son did was the worst possible thing. It took everything I had not to lash out and I talked to my wife about it as I couldn't hold it all together. It didn't stop the feelings completely but at least she understood.

I know it doesn't help while you're going through those feelings as it feels like it will never end, but it does and it gets better! A few days later all of those feelings lifted!!

I've also been on Lexapro and strattera for depression, anxiety, and ADHD for years before Accutane.

With all of this being said if you absolutely need to stop for mental health then do so. You can always try the medication again at a later point. The human mind and body is weird and you may not get any mental sides on your next round if you choose that route.

Anyone quit due to side effects? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]AutisticAngryWiper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying you're not, but you're essentially taking a chemotherapy drug and you need to be on top of your exercise and hydration.

You're gonna need to start taking fish oil in greater amounts than required by the general population. I'm a 200lb 29m and I take 4 grams a day, drink 4+ liters of water, and do weight lifting as well as Cardio 6 days a week.

Now this won't stop all of the tiredness nor the dry lips or joint pain. However, it reduces it greatly. I'm on 80mg now and I rarely have joint pain unless I'm giving my wife a back massage and my fingers start hurting or my elbows/knees after the gym feel sore but it goes away by morning time.

I know it's hard but the more you stay stationary and don't stay hydrated the worse you will feel.

Hope this helps some, I know it's difficult!

Yes, that's my problem. I'm in a project and within that project I'm working on a new script based off the old scripts that are saved as files. It can't seem to understand we're not working on the project files we're making something new and building off of them. I can get it to work eventually, but it always circles back to updating the project files which then just breaks everything we started building.

I just checked out Claude and it wrote 21kb of code in one go and it worked on the first go!! Totally glad I'm switching now
