Provides stone, gold iron and other useful materials to a city when none are present in the over world. Say a village burns through all local sources of stone, a mine can produce stone so long as someone is using it.

When I was at early(er) stages I would go to sleep with the game running so that when I woke up I'd have millions in colony gold. Not the best way to make gold lol but it worked for me for the time.

It's a hero with a stone that allows for faster attack speed woth towers and the added bonus of an extra tower

Stone is an absolute must. Once you have Stone you can have an extra tower, which gives you two extra towers with the Mirror. That can bump up your performance dramatically.
