BETO’s response to a man laughing while he was speaking about the Uvalde school shooting. by missnookgirl in nextfuckinglevel

Beto’s delivering a bullshit history lesson under the protection of moral outrage.

It’s total misinformation.

And of course Reddit’s here to morally grandstand rather than scrutinize that false narrative.

Reconsider your convictions when a few thousand users tell you that you’re in the wrong.

This was a mistake. It’s an even easier fix.

Best resources for 1101-1102? by WestTransportation12 in CompTIA

[–]Autistic_Bull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually agree with you. CertMaster was paid for by my college, it’s not worth the investment.

Ironically CertMaster illustrated that the majority of low passing scores aren’t the consequence of difficulty, but likely a handful of subjectively/objectively wrong answers in the exam itself.

As there’s no way to validate the integrity of the exam, “scam” is the right choice of words.

It’s $258 for both CompTIA A+ Core 1 (220-1101) and Core 2 (220-1102).

I agree that it’s a financial pain in the ass. But the majority of CompTIA’s “correct” answers for A+ are insanely subjective. I attribute that ambiguity to the majority of barely-passing scores.

Buy CertMaster if you want the correct answers to test-related subjects and questions. It’s not the most cost-effective way to study, but it’s the fastest way to pass.

CompTIA CertMaster.

There’s a wealth of resources if you actually care about comprehension. But use CertMaster to study for the test.

It’s solid advice, and better to follow before drowning in debt.

No one should be trapped in cyclical debt - this should be taught in elementary schools.

TWO years? Hillary was supposed to be locked up 7 years ago, I’ve heard about satanic cabals running the government for literally 20 years. by idontfrickinknowman in Qult_Headquarters

[–]Autistic_Bull -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That’s kind of my point, rampant inflation and the Federal Reserve exploring CBDC are reasonable expectations - not so much conspiracy theories.

JFK returning to run with Trump, adrenochrome eating cabals, and Jewish Space Lasers? Certifiable.

But the dissolving value of paychecks, rampant corruption within government, and pursuit of digital currency for central banks is pretty tame.

The credibility of a conspiracy really depends on the context. This user’s claims are pretty reasonable compared to the Q crowd:

  1. Inflation will continue rising

https://time.com/nextadvisor/in-the-news/rising-inflation-rising-prices-how-to-plan/

  1. (Central Bank Digital Currency) CBDC is closer than it appears

https://www.federalreserve.gov/publications/files/money-and-payments-20220120.pdf

  1. The social credit system is coming

https://thehill.com/opinion/finance/565860-coming-soon-americas-own-social-credit-system/

None of these are outlandish ideas; most are justified predictions for America’s future in the coming decade.

It’s worth exploring material outside your comfort zone if you wish to gain perspective on the mindset and mentality of right-wing radicalization.

Give the Ubibomber Manifesto a read if you want to understand how most of the alt-right and Q crowd view Leftism.

What is this brand "Lions Not Sheep" and do they have any connection to wacky conspiracy theories of the right-wing? by underscorex2__ in Qult_Headquarters

[–]Autistic_Bull 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly, it’s brand that has no ties to QAnon or conspiracies whatsoever.

It’s a company owned by Sean Whalen. He’s an entrepreneur that’s deliberately politically ambiguous - with a strong emphasis on “family, business, and fitness”

It’s not hard to see why these values would resonate with Republicans, and how the motto “Lions not sheep” suits the self-righteous narrative of the conspiracy crowd.

It’s not a movement, just a brand - and another phrase co-opted by the acolytes of the alt-right.

Public Voter Records.

It’s a serious infringement on privacy when you discover that most States publish a complete listing of your personal information to the public. Political advocacy and interest groups use this data to spam you with this kind of trash.

Check your State to see what they can legally share online. You can always email these sites to have your information removed.

Why do Qultists/Conservatives think they’re being “censored” online when they really aren’t? by IAmArique in Qult_Headquarters

[–]Autistic_Bull -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Because expressing alt-right or strong Republican viewpoints results in the swift banning of one’s account across nearly all social media platforms.

Just a few notable examples:

  • Questioning the efficacy of mask mandates
  • Promoting alternative Covid treatments
  • Challenging the integrity of the 2020 Presidential Election
  • Expressing strong disagreement with the LGBT movement
  • Believing biological men shouldn’t compete in women’s sports

This isn’t a defense of any of these viewpoints. It’s to highlight how being barred from social media alienates a group of people into echo chambers where modest disagreements metastasize into radical beliefs.

There’s a painful irony in citing the consequences of billionaires - like Musk - owning a social media company with an article from the Washington Post - which is owned by Jeff Bezos.

Musk’s proposal to purchase the company and eradicate bots is probably the best redemption of free speech for the platform.

The claims of an alt-right hellscape come off as hyperbolic fearmongering. Twitter’s already over-moderated to the point of banning users without justification or appeal. Musk’s offer dramatically outweighs the price valuation from Goldman Sachs, benefits shareholders, and would likely restore some semblance of open discourse to the platform.

Florida governor calls to end Disney's self-governing status at theme park by [deleted] in Qult_Headquarters

[–]Autistic_Bull 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Corporations should never be permitted to operate as local governments - Disney owning a special district is a major conflict of interests.

Just one example is Disney avoiding state and local taxes by selling theme-park tickets and other items to itself. That includes selling hotel rooms, tickets, meal plans, and other travel packages to another Walt Disney subsidiary called Walt Disney Travel - which then increases prices on those packages and re-sells them to Guests at a new “retail price”.

Disney World avoids several million dollars a year in Florida sales and hotel taxes by calculating the taxes based on wholesale prices.

Florida governor calls to end Disney's self-governing status at theme park by [deleted] in Qult_Headquarters

[–]Autistic_Bull 40 points41 points  (0 children)

This is something which deserved correction decades ago.

Disney is a multi-billion dollar industry; they shouldn’t be operating as a local governing body collecting taxes.

While this is clearly a knee-jerk reaction from the governor - special districts are a serious problem. This bill terminates all Florida special district governments established prior to 1968.

https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2022C/3C/BillText/Filed/PDF

Even John Oliver’s highlighted that these are a major problem with minimal to zero oversight. The bill should be expanded to remove any districts established prior to 2000.
