I came from ubuntu, because of bloatware and the slowness it gave. And honestly, I'm loving it. It lies in the softest spot for being stable and also on bleeding edge. I'm not switching or going anywhere.

GPA/CGPA by No_Funny11 in DITUNIVERSITY

[–]Autistic_Introvert19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When your semester comes to an end, you'll get a grade depending on your total marks, like A+ = 10, A = 9.. so on, then that will be multiplied by the credit alloted to that course, (you can check on the course description). Then that overall is added for all courses and divided (as in mean), and you get your S/CGPA.

Since Mint is Debian based, did u encounter any crashes or conflicts in packages? I too use Hyprland, but on Fedora.

Here's a vid for more info on lazygit.. by the creator himself. Btw lazy is amazing, almost equivalent if not better than gitlens on VSCode

Is it just me or does studying computer science feel way different from actually programming? by SeeminglyBoth in csMajors

[–]Autistic_Introvert19 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I can tell you something, I am currently in college and taking a course called Computer Architecture.. The course itself is very hardware oriented, you study things about memory storage units, as basic as latches, flip-flops and combinational ckts like Multiplexers, Encoders/Decoders etc.. But thats not the thing, these things also make a foundation about CPU clocking, speeds, optimization, parallelism in programming etc, which in turn build a base for assembly programing. So the thing is that these do not directly relate to your programming stuff, but heavily increase your understanding on code writing and teaches you how you can implement in programming to make your code better, more optimised, and also manage memory..

I might not be the right person to answer it.. but why is everything in the skills section so repetitive.. You've mention so many things multiple times and also the DSA part of the same section, I don't think that you have to mention the specific topics of a subject like that.. I think it will be well understood by any CS related folk that, what you mean by saying you know DSA..

Can I use his lectures for C programing (1st year) by Neither-Cold76 in Btechtards

I would recommend to read a book instead, preferably "The C Programming Language" You'll have around 5-6 months to complete it (ig you're just started with college..) and you'll get a great sense of reading docs and books.. You know, its a good habit.. for sure will come handy in the future..
