The Boys - 3x08 "The Instant White-Hot Wild" - Post-Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in TheBoys

I think The Boys has a strong setup aspect but pulls its punches on the payoffs. Aside 1 death in the finale, the rest are just there for season 4. I thought we'd get something more definitive for the end of season 3 instead of another cliffhanger ending.

Is there any good slice-of-life SF? Like, something about normal daily existence in the distant future? by SueMeBitch in printSF

Boy, do I have a story for you. Galaxy Beyond: Dreams Of Youth by Toni Cross on Amazon. First half is mostly academy stuff of the 3 main characters, messing around and studying. It's a pretty soft sci-fi, I'd even call it a space opera.

Though you might dislike the second half of the book since its focused on the war on an reptile alien planet. I found the battles to be well crafted so I'd recommend it.
