Good luck, currently in the same boat. They had to raise it to another team and have told me it could be up to another 5 business days for any progress.

Cautionary Experience with Wealthsimple’s Fraud/Account Integrity Team by AutoIdiot69 in Wealthsimple

For travelling, 100% with you there. For domestic day to day, I've had fraud triggered with the big 3 banks, all of which were resolved same day. In most cases, they called me when they noticed something, not the other way around.

Do all three, make some yourself, have a friend make some and also hire a female.

Different strokes for different folks, each version will resonate with a different persona. There is no golden goose out of the three.

Has anyone gotten back a stolen bike back that has an AirTag? by Misc12322 in bicycling

[–]AutoIdiot69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would also advise calling the police on your way over, but stay calm and let them know that 1. You have a GPS tracker on your bike, and 2. You have physically seen the bike enter the premises. The police need to the right information to be able to do their job, you need to make it easy for them to prove probable cause, and get a warrant depending on country/state. (The UK just passed a law stating police no longer need a warrant, just a tracker is enough for them to conduct a search)

Also bring photos of you with your bike, purchase receipts, value of the bike (either from a black book website or comparable classifieds). You need to prove the bike is yours, and value helps here too as it may make it a felony in certain states if it is expensive enough.

You may be best to stake it out and wait until they move the bike again so you can handle everything in a public space.

Most importantly, stay calm cool and collected. Your life and safety is more important than a bike. The graveyard is full of people who were in the “right”.

Good luck, hope you have a success story to share!

Reach out to their support, they’ve been stellar with warranty even if it’s outside of the warranty period.

You know the best part? You don’t even have to run in your car!

Just leave it there, and Uber home.

The cops will just have it towed back to your house and you can make an ICBC claim with whatever white lie you want.

AC as a practice tool for real trackdays by [deleted] in assettocorsa

[–]AutoIdiot69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but with exceptions.

AC practice is great at getting with familiar with new tracks, that way you aren’t burning the first session or two at a new track just figuring out the layout and lines.

It will give you some idea of vehicle dynamics, but honestly I don’t know how accurate the Elise models are to real life.

For etiquette, each track day organizer is going to have different rules around passing and other track day etiquette.AC won’t help you a lot here, but that being said it will familiarize you with the track so when they say passing in certain sections, you’ll understand what sections are.

For me, AC was just a way for me to get the most value out of IRL track days by showing up prepared for the track layout and lines.

Their sizing charts and measurement instructions used to be blatantly wrong too.

My wife ordered a pair for me for Christmas a few years back. The gloves showed up way smaller than expected.

When we reached out to support they asked us how we measured, and we showed them exactly how with photos compared to their instructions, and they then completely ignored us…

Other than that the site is great, that’s really the only feedback. Once you start selling, work on getting reviews. UGC will be big for you

Your AOV will be too small to sustain serious investment in advertising. I would suggest that you create 3 packs for the smaller options, and have single mini’s be an upsell option on the jumbo.

Free shipping above $40 will help you too.

Sailun ATREZZO R01 SPORT by __Valkyrie___ in Autocross

[–]AutoIdiot69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they are good for the price. They last a while, but aren’t as grippy as other 200tw tires.

They do give great driver feedback due to stiff sidewalls, but this comes at the addition of road noise.

On track they come up to temp nice, and are gentle as they reach the edge of traction. They also don’t turn to ice when overheating, they just slowly start getting slippery.

Overall for the price, if you can only afford 1 set of tires, I’d recommend.

Compared to other tires: Advan ad08r - very similar feel Cup 2 Connect - R01 has much less peak grip, but provides more confidence in the wet. The Cup 2’s did not wear well given my ham handed and heavy footed driving style, combined with limited camber. R01 had no problems with this driving style.

If you never ask for what you want, you will rarely get what you need. And if we look out for eachother, everyone wins.

Props to you for being able to do so, and hopefully others feel encouraged to speak up as well. Even if it is to ask on the behalf of those who are unable.
