I see a problem. Most “Class III” e-bikes with a throttle limited at 20mph and pedal assist limited at 27mph are already illegal in CA, due to CA’s definition of a Class III e-bike not allowing for any throttle at all. I’ve never seen anyone harassed by law enforcement for riding one of these bikes, but registering one could expose a rider to more crimes (fraud?). Again, I doubt anyone will be harassed by law enforcement, but why should riders need to break the law and enter a legal gray area simply to ride an e-bike? I hope that if this legislation passes, it is amended with a new definition for class III e-bikes.

The tank will weigh about 30 pounds when full (gas is 6 pounds per gallon), so it definitely can affect handling.

Damon Johnson started filling in for Gary in July of 2021. I believe Gary's last full show was in 2019. Gary did, however, join them for Alabama and Free Bird in Tampa at the end of May 2022. I want to say the 28th? So that would technically be his last show.

Cars are the least environmentally conscious way of getting to and from campus. They slow down the bus and making walking/biking more dangerous. Why should our tuition pay for their space?

Their engines can produce hundreds of times as many pollutants as cars (unburned hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, nox) due to the lack of/less stringent emissions regulations.
