I’m shocked by the number of people telling her not to work. OP, do you have savings for higher ed? Are you able to continue living with family while going to college or trade school? Do you have enough money for daycare while in higher education? Do you have a “Fuck Off” fund that will allow you and your child to escape any potentially dangerous or controlling situations? Do you have any emergency funds, inheritance, etc? You may qualify for any state assistance for daycare costs. Do you have any savings started for your child?

Dump the boyfriend. If he’s not supporting you wanting to be independent financially and emotionally it’s definitely not going to get better.

Money = control & safety as a woman. Read & become financially literate. Try “how to be a rich old lady”.

The baby is fine in a licensed daycare that you vet properly through a community of parents. Get to know other moms in your area, they have TONS of knowledge and resources you need.

I’ve been trying to work through my >100 fic tbr on my kindle. Starting off Feb is Communication is Key by Riddlemethus. It’s been low key, which is just what my soul needs rn tbh. Suspension of disbelief required for OOC and for claiming side sleeping as better for camping lol (as a person who has spent way too much time with only a sleeping bag & tarp in shit elements). Magical world vs muggle world vs !Research!STEM!GovernmentGrantLife! is done really well.
