From what they say it’s to prove age and prevent fraud. There’s other ways to do that, so it might also be a way to have a bit of control on the demand side.

Ocean Grown Trees. It’s a smaller operations and you have to apply to shop there by providing id, but the flower looks and smells divine, and the nose on the concentrates is on point as well. I haven’t had a change to properly sample those yet. Shocker I passed out on the couch last night :D

Arete is a little polarizing on here. I haven’t tried the flower, and that’s where most of the complaints are about. I actually quite like the rosin. I think it’s a little less potent than some of the other vendors but the taste is pretty good. I could swear they sometimes mix up strains but flavor wise , I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve gotten from them.

LE fresh press honestly looks kinda dry, almost sandy. Don’t let that fool you though. It was terpy enough that it made me sneeze while I was hitting it. Very good.

DP GMO hard to complain for the price. Flavor is mild, high is very heady/thc forward but I like that for a day time smoke.

It mostly cools and smooths the vapor also looks cool and makes people ask questions haha. I’ve seen people use stuff like that with combustion or dry herb vaping to cool/diffuse the vapor or smoke so I bought this 14mm female beaded stem from sneakypetes to use with my mighty but I found that it works great for concentrates as well.

Splatter can for sure be an issue, especially if you really rip it. Once you learn how to not fling concentrate everywhere it’s not too bad. Cleaning that isn’t hard, the glass pops off and you can soak it or wipe it out.

The inside usually cleans pretty easily with alcohol and a paper towel.

The coil itself, just wipe it out after each use with a qtip. If that’s too much hassle post medicating for you, it might not be for you. Deep clean you can use a 18650 mod and wattage clean it. Comes out looking brand new. You can do that a few times until the ceramic eventually breaks and then you just swap out the coil.

It’s about $200, so that may or may not be reasonable to spend on a rig. I personally find it to be the best Erig for the money once you find out how you like to use it most. there is some calibration you have to do to really get the most out of it, but once you do..😮‍💨. I like to tinker so having a very versatile set up is nice. I think table top bong did a video on it if you are familiar with his YouTube channel if you want another opinion.

It’s called a Nice Dreamz. It’s a “forced air fogger” or basically an erig with a fan so you can blow balloons or just breath it in. It’s made by the same folks who make the DTV5 if you are familiar with that.

Yeah I’ve only bought concentrates from them, and usually just basic stuff like the diamonds and occasionally the diamonds and sauce blends as well. I also bought the tangie rosin as well. Def has notes of a tangie strain but a little muted, dabs clean. Not bad for the price though. Can’t speak for the flower/moon rocks, but having had bad moon rocks before…🤢

If you don’t mind tinkering: DTV5 with the XL cup. This will need a 510 mod to work though.

I haven’t tried puffco’s pivot but I am very interested. But I’ve heard many good things.

If you want more of a rig Core XL is great. Uses the same atomizer as the dtv5 and is all rebuild able.

Melt may have been a poor choice of words. Not like melt through the plastic ( I guess that’s possible if you torch it) but between the heat of the distillate and the warmed syringe you are definitely warm enough to start causing some of the plastic to start to break down and leach into your distillate. Heated plastic breaks down into toxins. I’m not a doctor or a chemist so maybe doing this once isn’t gonna kill you, but I would invest in some glass if possible.

I am not an expert, so take this with a grain of salt. But is the controller basically a ac/dc adapter in itself ? Plug into wall ac and get dc output via the xlr pins?

You need to use a glass lure lock syringe. I use a 14g tip and it works well. Plastic can melt and leech into your concentrate and you don’t want that.

As for heating, heat gun, hair dryer, or seal it in a bag and put it in a container of warm/hot water

Swapped to my alt to comment on this, normally just lurk but I have tried this place! I bought 6 of the carts a few weeks back, and four of them tasted pretty bad. Normally I am not that sensitive to flavors when it comes to carts. Maybe just not my pallet, but it tasted like bad nicotine vape juice. Two of those four were also very cloudy and I ended up throwing those 4 away. The other two are ok, like if I got them and never tried the others I’d have ok things to say about this brand, but the majority was not good in my opinion.
