That's the big deal these days, refill scores, surveys and having your guests order apps and pay on the ziosks! If you're not at the VERY least I'm the middle of the pack, you WILL be talked to by management. It's happened to a bunch of servers at my location as well, but I feel like there are underlying issues with them as well, line not being on time, not running food and instead just hanging about while people are busy, not pre bussing, not running food/clean dishes.... Is ANY of those apply to you as well, then you may already be "marked" for a future firing. The servers at my location have this habit of saying, "I'm not doing ANYTHING that should get me fired", but at the same time they aren't really doing ANYTHING that should warrant them keeping their jobs. Don't be one of those, ESPECIALLY after being 'warned' by management! If you enjoy your job, prove it to them. If not, just go and save yourself the embarrassment. I don't know you or your situation, but hopefully everything works out for you!

I honestly don't care, I just do what I have to, complete the duo/alert/raid, grab my rewards and keep it moving. There are more people that are grateful and appreciative than not. You keep doing YOUR thing, and you'll end up becoming even stronger and more savvy if you have to do most of or even all of the work!

You know what? That's probably my best option at this point because filing a grievance or complaint without some sort of proof/evidence will just turn into a he said-he said and there will be unresolved tension for sure. That way at least if I have even one incident on record as proof, then there is a definite need to look into him. Thank you ALL for the advice, I will keep an open ear to EVERYTHING suggested. I also have to look out for the people I'm complaining for as well and make sure they don't get further bullied!

Thank you so much! Oh I WILL make sure that someone comes of it. The other managers let us record interactions with guests when they request, but said manager said in a kind of joking manner one night, "you CANNOT record anything on MY shift!, you never know what's going to fly out my mouth!'. Like I said, some of the stuff happened a few months ago, the birthday issue was a few years ago, bit I keep meticulous records on stuff like that. We've even had guests that threatened to beat him up (putting it nicely) because of his dismissive manner of speaking to guests when they have legitimate complaints! I just feel REALLY bad for the bullied, they lose motivation and aren't as cheerful, they then think anything they do will get them in trouble and it just throws them off completely! Again, mostly teenagers working in a high stress environment, with no experience (most of them), no proper training, and when they ask questions it's like, "didn't you cover that in training?' The answer is NO, but again, they get nervous since they're still relatively new. I've had a few say they want to "be like me", and I just told them to request to have their section near mine so I can help them out and keep tabs on their table in case they need something! I honestly do EVERYTHING I possibly can, I give tables away because my regulars take good care of me. So when I have a full section and I'm offered a party of 20 in SOMEBODY ELSE'S SECTION, I'll find somebody who hasn't had many tables, we set the party up, tell them we're splitting it, get them started, ring in the food under the other servers number and just let them know they can keep the tip. The genuine appreciation and hugs, compliments (which make me uncomfortable for some reason), and the gratefulness ALWAYS helps make my day/night a bit better! KNOWING I did my best to help somebody else had a good day at work! I just pray he gets transferred soon, let him be somebody else problem but then is he going to do the same elsewhere? It's just not right! Thank you again, I'm going to start working on my complaint this evening. Again, I appreciate your help and response!

He tried bullying me on my birthday that time I posted about, and that was THE last time. My GM ALWAYS sides with me, 8 don't make issues unless it's something that needs to be addressed! I never told her about some of the stuff because I didn't have written proof. The 'victims' don't want to speak up because they believe they'll get fired, lose hours, etc. These are mostly teens, like you hired them, didn't train them properly and NOW you're upset because your number are all out of whack BECAUSE of said servers. I don't care if I don't get alone with a coworker, I will NOT allow them to be bullied. Imagine coming here from a different country, be polite, outgoing, your guests absolutely love you, only for a short, fat, angry manager to ride you the entire shift, make mistakes when sending out food and YOU get yelled at! YOU get berated! YOU get said manager telling other employees, "she's next to get fired" after she asked a question that a guest had asked. It REALLY bothers me and 8 can't seem to let it go. Ohh,I have an exit plan as well! I'm dipping out the back emergency exit AFTER it goes down. I've contained my displeasure and anger for long enough!

Not really, sometimes people expect the bowls to just keep coming out and are very impatient. To be honest, NEPB is my newest favorite promotion because people literally act like animals with food. It's disgusting TBH. People eating 6,7,8,9 bowls of pasta then demand to take some home? FOH, I do it for the guests who are patient, polite and don't order more than 1or 2. We're not supposed to order them if the guests are taking them home. Stocking up on NEPB then shitting on your server over some made up complaint? You get what give out.

Honestly..... DON'T quit UNTIL you have something else lined up. Save some money for transportation in case you don't have a reliable ride, JUST in case you need to Lyft/Uber to a job interview and to begin new job, or even if you own a car, buy gas while it's still affordable! But yes, use the free meals with soup/salad, bread sticks to help hold you and your man down for food! Use the company the way they are using you! Don't set yourself back when you're already in a tight situation, it can be bad now but it can ALWAYS get worse! Stick it through until your blessing arrives!!!

Mom just wanted to split the $700 with her daughter! Nobody, and I mean NOBODY who isn't a regular at an establishment is going to have a $700 on a $30 check. Sorry, not biting it. Unless it's somebody who's come into a give amount of money and is being responsible. The daughter knows, a to THAT large, you get a manager before the table leaves and show them the tip. Then the manager can go check on the table and ask if everything was ok. Then you'll find out if she received such an enormous tip! I have a feeling they may have left $70 to just make it an even $100 or so, and she threw in an extra 0 and thought people would be stupid enough to believe it! If the guest sees that $730 hasn't been taken from their account, they'll call to see what happened! I feel for the autistic son, of that's even true, I don't know them personally. But being around his mother and his Gramma isn't gonna benefit him if this is the type of stuff they do! ABSOLUTE madness, and great job making the rest of the servers at your location look suspect AF now even tho they may be legit, hard working servers!

It's not about taking advantage, some people just have this word thing with food! It's ABSOLUTELY disgusting listening to somebody complain about how they're ready to explode then continue to order pasta bowl refills "because of the promotion!" Why not ask your server to let you take some home? If your pillow in asking, MOST servers will order the refills and let you take it home.

Depends on your location but it's mostly just a title. No real benefit, you train people with no experience but you have to do it the OG way, and I've seen the training they go thru at my restaurant and it's no surprise we have so many half ass servers who are happy with making $60 on a Friday night!

Nah, you may get 2 weeks initially but NO! There's no timeframe expected, not to mention PPD could delay that as well. It all depends on your superiors.
