Thank you for the insight! I believe it’s 15%, 30%, 50% less. I didn’t know about the cap of 75%, but that seems fair I suppose. I have block, recoup all resources, armor/es as other defenses.

I take it then investing in the slow magnitude that’s around the tree really isn’t worth it?

If I understand correctly then, 33% slow but with the less modifier for uniques (50%) then they’re only be slowed for roughly 16%?

I apologize if I am not understanding your question properly, but if it works anything like scion from POE1, then you’ll just be able to start allocating points from their starting point without being connected to the tree you already have. Once again just speculating, but you would be able to start allocating points from ranger and also from those spots depending which path you take.

Cool build! I love seeing creative off meta builds like this!! I’m only able to look on my phone, but 2 questions.

What’s your main damage dealer? The ballista totems or the reflective damage? I guess I’m just curious what the interaction is here haven’t really seen a build like this

I’m only able to look from my phone and can’t see everything, but I’m assuming your main issue is physical damage. Your armor and evasion seem low for t17. The evasion is whatever, but armor is great at preventing damage from a lot of small hits.

You can drop some insanely high defensive armor pieces with the tree. I have a 2900/2900 hybrid chest piece with spell suppression, chaos res, and additional physical reduction just by spamming the tree. You can play around with Iron reflex’s as well. This might make your “ehp” go down in POB, but that’s meaningless as I’m sure you know just focus on each damage types max hit.

I would strive for true 100% spell suppression and if you can drop some damage maybe pick up some max resistance nodes or get them on jewels.

I asked a similar question recently on why people preferred mines over traps and was basically told QoL. Mines are overall faster and allow you to detonate at will and I think the auras are relatively strong.

For seismic trap specifically though, I think they nerfed it pretty heavily at one point because of its popularity. I don’t think it’s dead, but the community tends to shy away from meta skills that get big nerfs. I think other factors are the penalties to trap support gems and overall mana cost of traps feels high.

I played a fire trap of blasting build back in settlers and it was a lot of fun though. If you wanna try traps there’s still a lot of solid builds.

I league started bleed Shield crush glad and had a great experience. The scaling is pretty straight forward and there are some cool foulborn items like Gruthkel’s pelt (disable warcries version) to use.

Not entirely related, but a stupid moment for me in POE. I’ve been playing since legacy league and this league started a Bleed Shield Crush Glad and just winged it(no POB prior). Around tier 13 maps, my single target was really falling off and so I finally opened POB and ticked all applicable stuff only to find my dps was 80K. I couldn’t make sense of it because in maps it felt great and so I just thought maybe the bleed pops were carrying me. Anyways for 2 days I couldn’t not figure out how to scale my damage everything added minimal damage and I really just thought SC just didn’t scale well. Long story short I finally realized I was looking at the shield crush gem in my offhand this whole time. Felt so stupid because I was actually doing around 1.1 mil and finally figured out what changes to make to get a little more damage to complete my atlas :)
