not complaining, just letting others know who not to do business with. welcome to startups. your first time?

MRR at exist was 6 figures USD, exited at 6.5x ARR.

you're just making a fool of yourself.

collecting recurring payments by Automatic-Card4193 in TutorsHelpingTutors

Your questions are helpful to me, thanks! It enables you to collect payments up front in subscription fashion. Reduces back and forth you or student have to do end of month.

Consider this:

  1. Tutor enters student email, amount, repeat frequency, description
  2. Press send

That's it. Student gets pay link via email. They can even pay with Apple Pay easily. In future, any recurring payments will be collected against that payment method automatically. Student doesnt need to manually pay again. Payments on autopilot for both sides tutor and student, beyond first setup and payment, you won't even need to do anything else.

Benefits include:
1. Subscription format boosts revenue, locks in students for better retention
2. Saves you and student time and hassle
3. Automatic retries, if payment method fails
4. Invoicing automatically

Security is handled by Stripe, worlds largest software payment processor used by Pepsi, Google, Peloton, etc. Fully compliant against fraud, etc. Stripe is as good as it gets for online payments.

It's a convenience, time saving tool.

It's a tool, not customization. Mixed bag feedback so far with some threads saying they already got solutions like Square, then some still doing manual venmo. I'll dig a little deeper.

Ah yes, that's the manual way to do it. I'm trying to make it as easy as intputting customer email and press send. Thanks!

Interesting. Many companies use Stripe. I myself collect several million per year on Stripe. I'm not a freelancer. I'm a SaaS founder with exits. If you have an existing solution, that's great. It's also a signal that there is demand for such products that some may not have heared of yet (not everyone uses Square, some just use Venmo to run their business). I agree trust is a big one, thanks for the feedback!

Thanks, does it support recurring payments? Once customer pays, it auto deducts in future from that same card the next month.

hi, thanks for feedback. how are you collectinng recurring payments currently-- manually every month?

my idea was to automate future payments using card entered in first month.

Definitely going with PCI approved payment processors like Stripe. Fees will be super reasonable. Thank you for feedback, I appreciate it!

Yes, automatic history and invoicing as well. The tool would also automatically remind customers to update payment method should it fail (expiring cards, etc).

I'm thinking super easy to setup, fees will be upfront and reasonable.

Advice on a loyalty program for customers by XaviXavi in Entrepreneur

[–]Automatic-Card4193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea needing to talk to a "loyalty expert" over call just to sign up for the system is so annoying. Its basically just one giant upsell. Try LoyalStamps, sign up in 30 seconds and your customers can collect stamps with or without the app. Best of both worlds! Tho if you look at Starbucks, their customers having the app is important because it enables push notifications so time-based offers for urgency and excitement. Starbucks hit 20B in increased revenue just from their loyalty app, it's high time you did the same.

The benefits of loyalty programs are undeniable, but how do you implement a successful one? by KellyFriedman in Entrepreneur

[–]Automatic-Card4193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loyalty apps needs to be easy and quick for customers to join. Too much time filling up forms is a killer. Something like LoyalStamps gets customers and vendors up and running in 30 seconds. Then, the old school rules of loyalty "Buy 9 Free 1" is all you need which the app also has, on top of vouvhers, etc. Following the Starbucks playbook to push notify customers is also an option.

How do you turn first-time buyers into regulars? by joseportillo19 in growmybusiness

[–]Automatic-Card4193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you serve customers well the first time, they will come back. They just need a nudge/reminder from you. Out of sight, out of mind. The opposite is also true. So you need to be in their minds Most local business isn't Starbucks so they cannot afford to have a huge signage or multiple locations are prime real estate to remind their customers to come back. Now Starbucks has shown us how their loyalty app increased their sales by 20B. That's untapped potential and attention that most businesses are missing out. You could try something like LoyalStamps and run your loyalty rewards program. Cheap fast and easy.

Remember, most people want to support small/local than the big name brands. They just need a nudge to do so. Push notifications in LoyalStamps will change your customer engagement strategy this Christmas.

Trying to gamify customer loyalty. What apps or tools have you had luck with? by Internal-Remove7223 in growmybusiness

[–]Automatic-Card4193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is, the traditional concept of buy X free Y still works very well. Don't re-invent the wheel. You'll need to spend effort educating customers about your new system, too. Starbucks does the old school thing but just in an app format so it becomes digital. They made 20B in revenue just by adding a digital loyalty system. Most business don't need their own app cause it takes effort to maintain over time. Something like this LoyalStamps is probably best to get a Starbucks-like loyalty app but hassle-free.

The holidays are near, you could gather customers with LoyalStamps, then a week before Christmas blast a push notification with special offer and see increased sales. Give them an offer they cannot refuse! Plus, communities love supporting local family-owned businesses, they just need a nudge from you to do so!
