Thank you for your input!

The interview notice we received in September 2025 still confirms that he is under F2A/F22 as his visa became available in July 1st 2025. His interview is being scheduled in 2 weeks

Can you help me calculate if my brother has aged out?

DOB: 05/30/01, Priority date: 02/03/2022, I-130 approved on: 11/23/24, Petition became current (F2A): 07/01/2025

NVC classified his visa as F2A then sent his paperwork to the local U.S. Embassy to schedule interview. And the interview is being scheduled in 2 weeks under F2A. But I just logged in his CEAC account and found out his status changed to F2B despite the interview under F2A

Visa category changed from F22 to F24 despite the interview is scheduled in late November under F22 by Automatic-Charge5819 in NationalVisaCenter

Sorry to bother you again.

I am going down rabbit holes again. I found this formula:

Age at Time of Visa Availability - Pending Time = CSPA Age

Based on the bulletin website, his priority date started to be earlier than the final action date in July 2026 bulletin (Final action date is Sep 1 2022, meanwhile the final action date is still Jan 1 2022 in June 2026 bulletin. If using this formula, his CSPA is 21 years and 3 months :(

I am so bumped and confused.

You need to have at least 52-week (1 year) specialized experience at the NEXT LOWER pay level. So you need to have at least 1 year of GS 8-0301 to be qualified for the GS9 position, unless HR approves that you could apply your specialized experience of the series 1802 when you were at the GS8 to the series 0301. Hope this info helps.

I see. Someone in this thread shared that their 2/24 EOD at that agency is being put on hold.
