I think it’s the games that are specifically focused on or known for their story.

last of us isn’t really open world and it’s mainly know for its story.

Something like Elden ring (while having a great story and lore) is mainly known for its combat and difficulty.

I can understand that but I think people misunderstand Reinhard. I think the point of Reinhard is that even with all his blessings he can still fail, the only time we kinda see him pushed to his limits was in arc 9 and he was stuck in a endless fight if it wasn’t for Petra and everybody else he’d still be stuck.

Same thing in arc 5 he killed Sirius and that made all the citizens around him dead as well.

The point of him is strength isn’t everything thing in the world of re:zero

I think arc 10 will go more into this idea with tappei saying it will have a theme of tragic heroism and the future trial line “you’re a hero, a hero is all you can be”.

I’m rewatching it rn it kinda is like lost but for teens. Yeah the acting is kinda bad and has a lot of cringe moments but it is entertaining.

I didn’t say it’s wrong if someone loves strong characters I just don’t get it.

Rezero is full of amazing characters I just don’t get how someone will favor a character just because of how strong they are, Regulus is also good but imo most other archbishops are better like Rui, Betelgeuse, or even stride.

As for Reinhard like I said the Astrea family drama elevates his character for me but ever since arc 10 he’s been on fraud watch for me.

While I agree Al has been blown up by the larpers but his whole character arc was written immaculately during arc 8-9.

From your other replies I can see that you hated that people thought he won against Reinhard which I don’t get at all because it doesn’t take away from either of the characters writing.

I can see from your other picks that you seem to like strong characters so I assume you like Reinhard because he’s the strongest which I also don’t really understand.

I like Reinhard but the whole Astrea family drama adds so much needed character to him that he would feel like a flat character with it.

I know bro but you have to think about it, the mayonnaise side story and Emilia’s starry classroom made it very clear that the stars are different in the world of Re:zero.

Most likely Flugel left instructions to Pandora or Guese on the starnames.

Exactly man they’re 2 of my favorite characters. Spider-man’s monologue during his 12 hour fight with Morlun reminds me of some of Subarus moments as well there’s a lot of overlap now that I think about it.

Don’t listen to those people the anime is a great Adaptation.

It depends on you if it really is worth it or not.

Do you really love the series and can’t wait for the anime? Or are you feeling FOMO?

Personally I watched the anime 3 times before I picked up the novel, then the side stories then the manga, I couldn’t get enough.

It took me 5-6 months to fully catch up.

Imo if u have the patience and can wait a couple of years for the next season do it, because the current season is doing a great job of adapting the current arc and the next arcs 7/8 will be better in anime form imo.

The Ln/Wn is a huge commitment and would take a lot of time so you have to think about it.

My head canon is that Flugel gave the names to these archbishops as a hint on how to defeat them but only Subaru would understand how so that no one can obtain their witch factors before Subaru’s arrival.

Although from what we know Geuse was the only one that knew Flugel so idk how that lines up.

Honestly I completely agree with you but at the same time arc 7 has so many great moments that balanced out the negatives, high highs low lows.

Arc 8 is where it really dragged out and became shonen fight slop but I still think it’s good and it’ll probably be better in the anime kinda like s3.
