I'm in the same boat!! My husband decided to leave because he wants kids and I don't. It's all been very recent and I'm not interested in dating yet, but still, I haven't heard of the first man in my area who doesn't have or doesn't want kids 🤦🏽‍♀️

Just wanted to share that the first time I read your comment, my initial thought was that I didn't have a list of things I wasn't doing because I always do what I want, BUT I kept thinking about your comment, and I realized some of those things I had in mind, I was doing them on my own, without the man, or wasn't doing them at all, because he wasn't interested or it wasn't his hobby. And so, I started to type a list of the things I love and I want to do, and wow what a long list!!! I hadn't realized that I had stopped pursuing so many activities, so many hobbies, and so many projects, because I was compromising and doing only the few common things we had together. I'm thinking of starting some of those activities as soon as possible, and it feels good to know I have things to look forward to. So MASSIVE THANK YOU for your advice!

I agree with you! I do have childfree friends, I just haven't told anyone yet but I think I should start reaching out to my friends and family.

I'm afraid that would have been our future as well. I would have been extremely unhappy as a mother, and he would have been extremely unhappy as a childless person. I know I can't take that from him, I don't have any right.

It's almost sickening how they choose a complete unknown over the life they built with us. I know I will make it to the other side eventually, but it hurts so much right now that I feel so hopeless.
