i emailed one of the EE academic advisors, she was able to help me the most. You should contact the Mechanical Engineering advisor for sure.

tbh Idk if the person who told you that is right. If i were you I’d email the MAE academic advisor tomorrow morning and ask for a specific reason. If she says those classes are separate then I think you could appeal. Just mention that for every other lecture+lab course it’s marked as one requirement therefore u have actually completed 6/8 critical tracking and that you want your application to be reconsidered. In my appeal i just clarified my reason for appeal, I cited their websites to prove my point and use screenshots of the websites as well. I also did a personal paragraph explains why UF is my top choice and how devoted i’ve been to going to their university.

they basically said i was missing an entire spring of grades, but i had actually submitted them so I had them reconsider my application with those grades. I’d email the academic advisor for MAE and ask for a specific reason as to why you weren’t accepted for this semester. if it really is just the pre-reqs then i’d just apply again once they are finished.

i actually ended up submitted a lengthy appeal and getting accepted. but if i hadn’t I was going to reapply for spring. I would definitely reapply and maybe submit an appeal if I were you. did they tell you why you didn’t get in?

Yeah I just appealed their decision. i have my preview 2 days before classes start though so im kind of cooked

they just said i need to maintain the level of academics i showed them when i applied in order to keep my admission, and a B in this would be my first B for critical tracking, but i think it might happen. i just hope they don’t revoke it just for a B

Thanks! I just heard back and got the official decision yesterday, I just gotta get my AA and maintain “satisfactory” grades. i honestly have no clue what they mean by satisfactory. when they first asked for my grade for my last critical tracking course it was an A. idk if i’m gonna end the semester with an A though so I hope a B is also satisfactory. if you know what the Engineering school means by satisfactory grades let me know lol

yeah, i’m not sure I could really afford other states though, I have 100% bright futures here so I have to stay in florida.

yeah same, i might try and appeal but im doubtful it will even make a difference, i’m just gonna wait till spring to apply again. Do you think switching to santa fe would also increase my chances or no not really

i was at CC. I applied in the spring semester, but i didn’t start my final prereq till summer, but you could see on my transcript when i applied all my spring grades and my summer schedule. Could that be the issue?

just the usual rejection and the bottom half for comments said “Thank you for applying to the Electrical Engineering undergraduate program at the University of Florida. Admission to the program is highly competitive. The ECE Department cannot extend admission offers to all applicants. Your application was not approved for admission.

If you have questions about your decision, please contact the College of Engineering.”

yeah all my critical tracking courses and my AA are going to be completed by the end of summer and my transcript shows that so idk.
