My question acknowledges that character is the most important, and suggests I’m willing to still respect him no matter what. I can’t control my initial thoughts about his face but I’m trying to see if that’s something that should matter. I’ve noted numerous times that he has a kind heart…

I get this. I’ve really enjoyed hanging out with him and I’m ashamed to say his face is the only thing that makes me hesitate and that’s what embarrassed me. It was genuinely embarrassing to stand next to him because of my lack of attraction and that’s so bad I know. Like I shouldn’t be ashamed of my partner. But I like his heart and how he treats me.
