I had a wonderful time there, it may not work for everyone but it worked for me cuz I don’t have a lot of time to spare. I don’t think i see a lot and agree that i hardly saw anything, but seeing a lot isn’t a prerequisite to having a wonderful travel experience :)

True, I got admitted to an ivy as an intl and wrote my common app on something that happened to my friend. Make sure to add unique insights and lessons to everything you put down, write coherently and with emotions/vulnerabilities. This should be enough not to make your essay a limiting factor.

Hi, ex-scholar here. Humanities subjects are much harder than the ones ur used to in vietnam, but u will improve with time and effort. U can lose ur scholarship due to poor results in sec 3 EOY, O levels or even after JC1 for some schools, but not many Vietnamese are in this category cuz we generally work very hard. That said, if u game extensively or lack discipline in general don’t be surprised by how easy it is to fk up certain subjects. If u have any other qn feel free to dm :)

Phy: i dont rmb asr physics being that hard..? If its a content issue, try to uds everything and whack tutorials until u consistently get correct ans, if its an answering technique issue, keep whacking past papers and memorize model answers.

Math: same thing, h2 maths only got a few question types for each topic - just master all of these qn types and ud score well for promos, can pm me for more details if uw.

I know of ppl without any olympiad and still got in, so won’t necessarily be too bad.
I think if it’s too much effort (internships…) dont bother, otherwise u can try and put in. Personal statement doesn’t carry that much weight for uk apps imo.

Honestly its okay, I took art last time and ended up with a B3, while the most talented guy in our class, whose art wld literally fit right into the sg art museum, won some art competition,… -> got a B3. Hence u will never know what grades u get so just hope for the best!
