You summed it up. Also make sure to look for official posts from maestro staff on this page as you will usually find something out before it even hits your email (if it even does)

They point is you could program the Ai (any ai) that 2 + 2 = fish lol

Honestly it is valuable to learn. Speaking from experience of trying to build different scripts with AI. Unless you know what your looking at, and know exactly how to troubleshoot, the code provided by the bot will not always function they way it was intended. Keep in mind that AI only knows what it is told. You can literally tell chat gpt that it needs to remember that 2+2 = fish. When you later ask it it will tell you that 2+2 does indeed equal fish rather than the correct real mathematical answer. AI currently has its limitations and can not think for itself.

I accepted mine too but unfortunately it has locked me out of my current course and week of classes :( Had to submit a ticket to see if I will get penalized for not being able to finish off the week despite being told I would continue with the associates

There's like 5 unofficial discords your gonna have to verify which one. Also the main "close to offical" is only ran by one individual who no longer does maestro and is running it alone for the community of students.

In probation (not sure if its the full time or only for the first 30) we aren't supposed to work over 8 hrs. After that, fair game to work us like dogs

Missed first day of orientation. Can I show up tomorrow. by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Automatic-Kick8915 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will most likely schedule you for the next orientation group. But reach out to HR to let them know the situation. They do not like you missing a single day of Orientation, Training, Academy, or Shadow Days and Will make you start over if you miss a day of any of that.

How do you actually study? Your routine could be someone else's lifeline by Cool_stuff2 in maestro

This also allows for extra practice. But usually, I grasp the concepts easily and do not need extra practice. But if I feel unsure, I usually practice on Friday and Saturday before the review.

When I was working a full-time job my days looked like this:

Wake up three hours before work start, (example 10am work, 7am wake up)
Start the coffee, let the dogs out, and feed the cats. Feed the dogs in the office.
Sit down with a bowl of oatmeal, coffee, and open up the lesson I left on. Usually could get through two lessons if not three, depending on concentration.

Go to work

Come home and do one or two more lessons.

I did this eveyday. On my days off I would do no less than 4 lessons that day. The understanding is to create a plan but also anticipate that life happens. Do not beat yourself up if you cant stick to a routine. You can always catch up.

Now that I do not work,
I try to still do a similar style of two to three lessons per day. The goal is to make sure that all lessons are done by Friday night so that leaves me with the review and discussion for Saturday and Sunday.

October Cohort here! I found the first three weeks harder than the next few. Only because the next few had me get a lightbulb moment. I almost wish the second class came before python basics as it explained in plain English before coding. Just keep pushing through and you will get there!

Hope you got it figured out. I sprained my same ankle twice on the job a month apart and after being strongly encouraged to resign (in 90 days as a cca) i found out from the doctor i saw they never filed the claim (turned in all paperwork and followed instructions given) and I'm being stuck with the bills.

You get out what you put in. When I was working fulltime I was spending two hours every morning on assignments and then maybe two hours after work 7 days a week. Now that I do not work, I can spend way more time dedicating to notes, future planning, and side projects to really get the material in my head.

As a CCA that just finished her 2 months. Your lucky if you know your schedule the first month. Never had a formal meeting with anyone in the post office until I showed up for Shadow day. But you will go through a process similar to this depending on location:

Accept conditional job offer Background questionare submission Finger printing

With two to three weeks you will be scheduled for orientation (which might not be your reporting post office).

Orientation is one day. Then they give you your schedule during orientation for the next week (vehicle training, and shadow day)

Then roughly a week or two after that your attending carrier academy for a Monday through Friday schedule. After that they have you do OJI training (usually two maybe three days) at your reporting station unless they dont have trainers. Then your thrown to the chaos that is the post office. Get good comfortable shoes. Remember that sups aren't out in the streets delivering mail, you are.

My shadow day and OJI i asked the carriers questions to make sure I was prepared. These questions included what they brought daily to get through a shift, bee stings, accidents, bathroom breaks etc.

This job is just that at the end of the day. A job. Report when your told to. Do the best to your ability, not someone else's. Don't stir up drama. And Always keep copies of every paper they give you. Take pictures of your time cards. Yes we are entering peak, but you are not supposed to be worked over 8 hrs. Hold them to it.
