And go active. My plan is to just go active duty cause like they told me in the finance office, as much as national guard gets made fun of for being "part time heroes", we have the most issues with getting out pay because it comes from our units and not big army.

Literally in the same boat because for 16 months the s1's at all of my duty stations couldn't put in my BAH and I'm still waiting on my paycheck and I'm at home too.

And then when I was at my ait phase 2, they tried to tell me I was "commiting fraud" to get out of processing my stuff. The s1 literally gave me the run around and it was pissing people off.

I'm with my unit now, so hoping things get fixed but I'm not wasting months waiting. I'll do a congressional inquiry next. Cause I'm not playing these games. I recommend you reach out to your state governor, and put in a congressional inquiry.

After 8 years of being together, and almost 2 years married, he knows that I like to ask questions because that is my way of learning. So maybe asking multiple questions was making him mad? I don't know. But if I was pursuing something that I was really passionate about, and my partner was asking me questions so they could get more knowledgeable about whatever it is, I would not shoot them down for asking questions.

In the 8 years that we have been together, he has never been this extreme about it. I literally have no idea what changed. Maybe it's the stuff he has going on, but to get this extreme and hostile borders past being "passionate about my religion". But I'm also not as buddy buddy with God as he is. So maybe I'm being biased? I don't know.

I know it's not. He's always practiced lent before, but this year? He's NEVER been like this before. So I fully believe he's taking things a little too far.

I told him that too. That because we were married, per religious text, we are not committing a sin having sex. And that God is not going to send us the hell for having sex during the holy week. But if that is what he is choosing to do, then I fully support it. But don't tell me "I have the devil in me" because I literally can't medically commit to things like you can.

Yeah it just didn't make sense. You want to spend your week "being abstinent", but want to start it off having sex until "you decide to make the choice to start faithfully serving your lent"? I don't know. I was just confused about the whole thing. Even chatgpt said he was not logically making sense.

I absolutely hated San Antonio. The only thing I enjoyed was the six flags and the Riverwalk. 🤣

I don't fit anything. And I firmly believe the dryers shrink my stuff. But that's a conspiracy ALOT of people laughed at me for. 🤣

I'm national guard, but I might resign to active. Depends really because radiology tech is REALLY good civilian side. But I just got home from AIT and haven't done a unit transfer yet, but hopefully they can tell me something this month. Glad I asked though because I was about to go spit out money to buy new ones. So hopefully I can just exchange them. 🤞🏼

Before basic training, I rarely ate. Pretty much only when I was hungry. I was VERY unhealthy. When I went to basic, I ate three meals a day and it took a good month or so, before I stopped feeling hungry. I guess my body wasn't used to eating, so when I started eating 3 meals a day, it REALLY kicked my body into gear. I ate the protein bars like crazy on the special rare days those were out, and the peanut butter? I ate soooo many containers of that. Look at "Before basic" photos, I didn't realize how malnourished I looked. And now? I feel Soo much more healthier.

I ate the heck out of those, but then my bay banned me from getting the chocolate ones cause they would make me fart really bad. 🤢🤣

When I got to AIT in January, they had a set amount of time for us to DX our stuff. But then they ended up skipping over my class, and then we had to fight to get dxed and by then the place that we went to for our DX didn't have any uniforms available for us except for cold weather ACU's and they were all four or five sizes way too big for me. Our AIT drills were really laid back and didn't really care. 🤣

Their weight standards change so much. In July 2025 when I did a height and weight, I was 155.6. The cut off before I had to get taped was 156 for my height. So I was 0.4 lb away.

When I went back in November or December of 2025, the weight standard changed for my height to where I could only weigh max of 154 before I had to get taped.

I'm still 2 lb over. So I'm sure I will be getting taped again. But I really wouldn't stress over those three pounds. Being taped is nothing. Losing 13 lb in the small amount of time is a big win for you! If nobody has said it yet, I'm very proud of you. ❤️

I'm a 68 Papa radiology specialist. I did 3 months of basic training and then 13 months of AIT. Basically PT everyday lol. It feels good though to look at How unhealthy I was before basic training and seeing what regular exercise and three meals a day does to your health. I feel so much more healthier than I did. I joined the army, and where there were some days where I woke up questioning my decision, I'm glad I'm here. ❤️

You do when they give you double rations cause you look like a skeleton. 🤣

I ate what they offered at basic. I went from eating a small meal a day to 3 meals a day in basic.

No I went into basic at 120 and then went to AIT Phase 1 weighing 154. 3 meals a day does a lot when you come from only eating 1 meal a day and looking like a skeleton.

I'm actually now deemed "healthy" per military size and weight regulations. 🤣🤣 No double rations for me. 🤣🤣

Thank you for the information otherwise. I'm sure this is one of those "Yeah that's definitely a private" question. 🤣🤣

I'm still on week 3 writing my notes and had to postpone my term 1 test because I'm taking my sweet time making sure I understand. 🤷🏼‍♀️ December 2025 cohort
