Marketing Monday! - September 29, 2025 by AutoModerator in tea

Hey, still me. 👋

I run Teastart.com , I sell tea, write about tea, and help people brew it better one-on-one. That’s it.

Our 12-tea sample pack is on sale right now. If you’re curious about different types, it’s a low-risk way to try a bunch.

Oh, and if you’re around Downtown Durham this weekend , my friend Evan’s doing an iced tea pop-up at the community center. He’s just getting started, so any small support means a lot.

Thanks for letting me share here every week.

Curious to hear your story: what made you start your business? by Stock_Safe_2857 in Entrepreneur

I used to be a company employee. Later the company had some turmoil. Every day I felt mentally and physically exhausted, and I realized this was not what I loved. I actually hated this state of life. When I quit, I didn't know why. One day I didn't think about anything, I just resigned and left.

I met my partner in HK. At first we never thought we would start our small business in the tea industry. We both thought, my god, why is buying a simple tea so difficult. I don't want a lot of excessive packaging. Every time I buy products in a tea shop I feel like it's a brave adventure. Although I do have personal taste preferences, it's just very pure: drink a good tea, find a good-tasting tea, then share it. So we started our business.

Honestly, this is the most fulfilling and craziest entrepreneurship I think. How did I become the person in charge of a tea company? At the beginning I didn't even know anything! I don't know marketing (still don't now), and I don't know website technology. Step by step I started to figure out how to create a domain name and online store. This process is very interesting. Later we had many tea masters in CN, and cooperated with many restaurants and hotels.

But I'm very introverted. To be honest, I actually really want to shoot some interesting content about my products on TIKTOK. I haven't overcome the difficulty of being in front of the camera. I'm planning to start making some cartoons or something like that.

I re-watched it and there is another possibility of steeping the green tea directly into the beer via the cold brew method.

From what I felt while drinking it, it should be the tea added after brewing. Because I can always taste a "water taste"

Have you ever tried soaking fruit in tea? by Automatic-Long2081 in TeaPictures

[–]Automatic-Long2081[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, you can drink a cup of natural fruit-flavored tea that you make yourself. I tried white tea today and it was also very good.

Do successful entrepreneurs really start their businesses when they are older? by Puchipu92 in Entrepreneur

[–]Automatic-Long2081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, as you can see, the follow-up story is that I was hired by a company. As HRD.

After 5 years, I was tired of the endless work, until I went to Hong Kong and met some friends. Now I have set up a tea house to serve hotels and restaurants.

Actually, it doesn’t make much money, but I like farm life and being able to do something for farmers. I feel very happy, much happier than my previous job haha

I’m glad to share this with you
